| Hide-a-squirrel obsession! I bought my 2 boys a hide-a-squirrel toy for Christmas. They LOVE it. However my Fletcher is an obsessive type pup and he gets zoned in on the squirrels one a time. There are 3 identical squirrels, yet he will only play with one at a time. He will attack for it, stares at it if you take it away, squeak it for HOURS on end and last night when the squeaker finally broke, he tore it apart and had stuffing everywhere. I wonder if you can buy squirrel refills for this toy! haha Seriously though I cannot distract him from the toy he is obsessed with. Not with treats, not with anything. IF I take it away and put it on the counter or table he will find a way to get on the table to get it, or he will sit or lay or circle the table/counter whining until I give it back. If I hide it under me, he will dig at me nonstop until I give it back. This could go on for hours. Is this normal? Anyone else have an obsessed yorkie?

| Christmas 2007 Bubba and Sissy got Hide a Squirrel. They played the game for awhile but Bubba eventually just preferred to play with the squirrels and one was accidently killed. Yes, they do have replacements. I sent away for three more but didn't stop to think there were different sizes and got the bigger one that didn't fit. I ordered on-line so if you do a search and order watch the size. So many people on here have purchased this that they may remember the site if they ordered on-line. Bubba is crazy about his blue ball and will play with it for hours at a time. If you hide it he goes nuts. If it is in or under the couch there is no peace at our house until he gets it back. As for Sissy, she is the opposite. She is the couch princess and very rarely plays with anything other than a bully stick, which she likes to toss in the air.

| Ranger is OBSESSED with his Hide-A-Squirrel. Out of the three squirrels, there is only ONE he will play with. He is totally OCD I actually don't leave the toy out all the time and only give it to him for an hour or so. Sometimes I catch him just sitting and staring at the shelf where it lives He also loves to stick his head in the top and fling it across the room. Too funny. I love it!

| oh don't get me started. I'm down to one squirrel. I found a shop that sells the refills, 3 more squirrels for $10. Since mine doesn't really worry about the house I'm just going for the squirrels....

| Gracie LOVES toys. What a great idea for her 1 year birthday gift!! Thanks guys! I'll stop on the way home tonight and buy one. Of course, I'll have to hide it...from my DH!! He can't stand to have gifts in the house and not give them. Christmas often comes in Nov in our home.

| I think I have something similar called a Hide-a-Bee (Mom and Dad both went to Georgia Tech - what do you expect?)! They both love it. Rory has always loved her egg baby which is a similar toy, but I was not planning on Lane (puppy mill rescue from just before Christmas) actually enjoying it - she was the first one to get a bee out! I definitely need to get the Hide-a-Squirrel. Rory is obsessed with tracking squirrels when we go for walks, and she already has a shirt that says squirrel patrol.

| Toby and Rudy love their Hide a Squirrel too. I am sad to report that one of the squirrels have already gone to the great squirrel Heaven in the sky, and another of them are in critical condition. Right now I am just stuffing all their other little squeaky toys in the trunk and they love getting them out. If you really want a good laugh though, try putting a larger rubber squeaky toy in the trunk...it keeps them busy for a long time

| Penny loves her hide-a-squirrels so much-- she will just run around the house with a squirrel in her mouth for hours squeaking it! It got so bad that I purposely de-squeaked one of them so that she could have it at night and still allow us to sleep.
