| Pic of hawk in my yard! A week and a half ago we had an owl in our yard, well the other day there was a hawk! My hubby spotted him and tried to take this pic of him. it's blurry but the mass in the tree is a hawk, my poor babies can never go running out in our yard and we have a fenced in back yard for them!!! How do I get rid of these pesty predators?

| Just thankful that you are aware enough to know that these predators are out there. Some don't and lose their babies.

| What a good thing you remember to look up before letting the kids out. How scary. I know of only one way to get rid of hawks -- well two ways, one will land you in jail and the other is to remove the food sources. We have a hawk that is living in our middle pasture near the barn. Either he is looking for mice the cats miss or perhaps he is hoping for a kitty snack. I don't think he'll have any luck, there 'cause the kitties don't play fair. |

| I had a friend tell me they had a hawk swoop down and grab their baby right in front of them and take them away!!! This poor woman was scared for life! I can not imagine how horrible that would be!!! I am protective! My neighbor has a small dog...about 6 pounds... and she lets her dog out into the fenced in yard every night by it self!!! I try to tell her it isnt safe! I called her when I heard the owl in my yard and she was greatful I told her, but a few nights ago her dog was out barking to come back in around 8:30 at night I was horrified!!!!
