| How much food do you feed your yorkie? I was just curious... Please indicate how much your yorkie weighs and how much food you give it per a day. Stomper is 14 pounds and has about 1 1/3 cup food a day (and is not fat!). Everyone says it is too much but he is long and skinny!

| I have three babies all under 6 pounds and I give them access to food 24/7. Only because they just sorta pick and eat throughout the day. |

| NO such thing as FAT Yorkie! IS there such a thing...a FAT Yorkie??? NOT the way mine plays and runs, never stops. Chelsea is 14 lbs, 9 months old, and I feed her 1.5 cups of Puppy Iaams. If I dont, she brings me her bowl! I can take a hint! Chelsea'sMOM |

| over weight yorkie my macey is over weight and i am working very hard to get this off her , she is short and stocky weigh's around 12 to 15# but i know the weight is not good on her legs as well as other health problems that it can cause her, she will be 8yrs old in december and she dosent run and play like the other 3 guys that i have she has always been more of a lap dog she does like to wander around the yard when we are outside but if it is raining or snowing or to hot i practically have to kick her out to do her business and then she is right back in where as the other would stay out all day long. so we have been working real hard this summer to get some of the weight off by walking every night , she starts off strong but on the walk back home she starts to lag behind the others. the vet has scolded my hubby several times about giving her snacks and he has gotten better but he thinks when he eats they should to and i wouldnt mind as long as it was healthy snacks not the cheese or crackers or chips , she loves any kind of veggie carrots cucmbers tomatos raw potatoes celery you name it about the only thing she dosent like is bananas. well i think i am noticing some progress with her but i think i need to find a better dog food for my guys i was feeding them something i got from my vet cant remember the name but i switched vets and they dont carry it so i asked her what i could feed them and she said purina was good also imas and science diet so i got purina mini bites but i think i am gona have to read some labels and try something else. oh yeah i feed them 1/2 cup with alittle wet in the morning and then 1/2 a cup in the afternoon and maybe a snack of carrots or something im cooking for supper they just had some cucumber . i also have a 6 month old that is eating puppy food so i cant leave food down 24/7 besides it wouldnt last that long around here. lynne
