| hello all :) iam a 27 year old male from new york, just purchased a yorki last night! (yeah i know what your thinking... but i fell in love with him) he was the smallest of the litter hes suppose to be a teacup. currently hes about the size of a pepsi can and lovesssssss to play. I try to limit his play time to about ten mins per session so he doesnt hurt him self. He doesnt like the nutra-cal at all. i have to pretty much force it in his mouth. Is there somthing else out there that does the same thing but i may have better luck with? here he is thinking bout naming him Diesel what do you think? |

| Welcome to YT. I'm a guy with 2 Yorkies, & working on getting a third. Diesel is a great name. Best of luck with your pup.

| Welcome to YT, so happy that you are now a yorkie owner, love his name. You will surely get a lot of advise after everyone settles down from the Holidays. Tricksie was a picky eater, I put her on Life's Abundance, kibble. Good Luck

| I think you need a clearer picture of Diesel As long as he's eating and drinking, then don't worry, it's when they get lethargic that they need just a little bit of white karo syrup on their gums. You may never need it. My little girl is a little bigger than a pepsi can and is almost 7 mos old, and right around 2 lbs. I really don't limit her playing time, as she's finally starting to fit in here(we've had her 6 weeks now). I do check her gums periodically if she's not eating, but, when she is eating, and acting normal, I don't mess with her. |

| Hi! Welcome! We have a lot of guys owned by Yorkie's on YT. Yogi didn't like the Nutracal either, and luckily he ate really well and often so never needed it. But it's a good idea to have it on hand so that you can put a dab on the roof of their mouth if necessary. I like the name Diesel. It was one of the ones on our short list for Yogi. As long as the area he's playing in is puppy-safe, you can let him play for as long as he wants. Just be sure his bed is accessible and he'll lay down for a nap when he needs one. Here's Yogi, being the sweet boy that he is, sharing the pillow with his big brother Boo.

| How old is your puppy. He looks very youg in the photo. I would guess 8-10 weeks. He doesn't need the nutri-cal unless he's not eating or has a hypoglycemic episode |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I like the name. I have a 10 month old yorkie that was also the runt of the liter and she didn't like nutra-cal either. My vet told me to give her karo syrup and it has saved her a few times. She would get wobbly and once she couldn't stand up from her sugar being low. I have a small dropper bottle that I keep karo syrup in and I just give her a couple of dropper fulls and in a minute or two she is fine. Good luck. |

| Your baby is adorable How old is he? I agree with the others, nutri cal is not nessary unless he shows signs of stress. If you do need to give it to him, you can just put it on the roof of his mouth. He will probably take it easier that way. It also helps if you keep it in the fridge. It's not so runny that way. |
