| Insurance for Yorkies Hi everyone, I am considering purchasing insurance for my yorkie, 8 month old Moose. I was looking at VPI pet insurance...do any of you have an insurance plan for your yorkie that is working well? Thanks! |

| I have the ASPCA Pet Health Insurance plan for Gus. I got the Advantage plan, because it covered part of the neutering cost. It doesn't cover as much of the vet's costs as I'd like, & getting the vet to sign the form is a nuisance. I'd prefer the vet to file the claim directly with the pet insurance company. This may be up to the particualar vet you use. I'll either renew it or go with VPI when it's time for renewal.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have all 3 of my yorkies covered by VPI. Ihave had to use it alot for Cali and definitely gotten more tham my money's worth. Only used it twice on Pixie and got several hundred back on 500 plus in bills. Knock on wood haven't used it on Roxie. I just like having the security of knowing if something major happens I will get some assistance. They do not cover congenital ie liver shunt LP or any preexisting conditions that they have been seen by a vet for previously. It costs me about 65.00 a month for all 3 to be covered.

| I had originally considered it, but we opted not to get it. Shelby had LP surgery a little less than a year ago, and from what I understand it wouldn't have covered it anyway. Sadly, there are a lot of items that it doesn't cover.

YT 1000 Club Member | I have insurance for KiKi...accident insurance....it's not for illness...but if she ever gets hurt by like a fall or swallows something or a dog attack or something (GOD forbid)..it would cover the surgery etc. it gives me peace of mind and for $12 a month...well worth every penny- even more so if I NEVER use it!
