| floppy earss his ears are starting to flop down, i think because the hair is getting pretty long & he cant go to the groomer til he finishes all his shots. i read somewhere that u can shave them at home? obviously very carefully but what do u guys think? he's 10 weeks by the way |

| My 14 lb yorkies ears have been up since day one. never came down even when teething. Did the parents have their ears up? Sometimes if they're thick or too heavy, it will keep them from coming up. My little girl has little ears, not thick and I'm having a heck of a time keeping them up |

| I shaved Missy's when she was 8 or 9 weeks old. It was easy. I just bought a little Wahl brand beard and moustache trimmer and had my husband hold her for me. The tricky part was trimming with the scissors afterwards to make the shape nice around the edge of the ears. I've also seen posts on here about taping their ears up. You may want to do a search on that.

| You can try to tape the ears... I did for Sadie and her ears stayed up for a while but they kept flopping. I finally gave up and her ears are floppy but we think she looks cute that way!

| Juicy's ears are down, I've shaved them, and tapped them I think they just want to stay down and I've learned to love them their so cute. Both her parents had ears that go up and same with her brother and sister.

| My baby boy Jack's ears I think are too big to stay up. I was looking at them this morning and there is just no way his ears would stay up. Plus, I think he's cutter with big floppy ears. I never did get to meet his parents b/c I bought him off of someone that already purchased him from the parents. So I don't know if his parents' ears stand up or if they are too big to stand up. Oh well, I wouldn't trade Jack's appearance for anything even if his ears are suppose to stand up.

| He is so cute Kimberlee! He looks a lot like my Jack! Is your Dallas a big boy? How old is he? Jack weighs 16.4 lbs. and he'll be one year old Jan. 27, 2009.

| Nature has it! Larkin has floppy ears and my boy Diesel has erect ears. They had puppies that are now 13 weeks old and none of them have erect ears. One or two looked like they were going to stand, but then they went back to being floppy. I asked my vet at one of their shot visits and he said that it is just genetics whether or not their ears stand up. I just went with nature and didn't help any of mine stand up. I love 'em just the way they are!! |

| I wait till Molly is sleepy and relaxed and then have a quick trim of anywhere that needs doing. It means that i dont have to have anymore trips to the groomer, which molly hated anyway. |
