| Without YT, I wouldn't have known... This is a sort of In Appreciation of Yorkie Talk post. Please everyone, feel free to chime in your stories of "Without Yorkie Talk, I woudn't have known..." I know many of our babies, especially mine, are so much better off because their owners read Yorkie Talk. :-) I don't know if this kind of thread has been done before, but here goes anyways... Without YT, I wouldn't have known... 1. That most of the grocery store kibble brands (like Iams) are bad. 2. What the good kibble brands are, and that I could get free samples of them sent to me (yay!) 3. That Hartz shampoo isn't good for yorkies, and that I could get free samples of other good shampoos like MinkSheen! 4. That kennel cough may not sound so much like a cough - it sounds more like a throat clearing followed by gagging. 5. That belly bands exist. 6. That some people feed their dogs raw meat on purpose! :-) 7. That rawhide is BAD, and the joys of safe and delicious Bullysticks (and what bullysticks are, which is gross! lol) 8. What human foods are safe, and what human foods are unsafe. I'm sure there are lots more, because I have learned sooooo much here, and I am so thankful, but these are the ones that come to the top of my head right now. Maybe I'll add some more later. :-) Thank you Yorkie Talk members! Nikko really appreciates all your advice, even more than me I'm sure. Lauren & Nikko |

| Without YT I wouldn't of known... ...as much about puppymills and bad breeders ...about CT and I wouldn't of realised my Gypsy had this problem ...how to laugh to potty accidents knowing it was a Yorkie thing ...about the many dangers there are for small breeds ...the answers to some of the most bizarre questions ...all the wonderful new people I know now but mostly... I wouldn't of known my two very great and dear friends I've met through the forum who've been there to support me, make me laugh and pass the time with. Thank YOU for starting YT and to the members that make this a great forum!

| If I hadn't found YT I wouldn't have 3 Yorkies now. I wouldn't have traveled from here to VA to get one of them. I think I have learned almost everything I know about Yorkies from this site and the experiences and knowledge of others. I never would have "met" so many great people - on line and in person! |

| I wouldn't have known about hypoglycemia and using Nutrical. Without this knowledge, Missy may not have made it through her first 2 weeks home.

| But getting back to what I wouldn't have known... I wouldn't have known that pet stores are what keep puppymills & back yard breeders in business - and I think that's the most important thing to know! Without knowing that there would be more and more of them around.
