| He's Fearless. So today Walker and I went on a wonderful hour and a half jaunt through the countryside. It was freezing outside. Hovering right at that temperature. We walked across fields and paths and came across all sort of interesting things to investigate. Saw some other dogs to play with. One of which tried to hump him He was not happy with that. haha, Also saw some Horses to watch. Good eventful walk. So on the way home Walker's off leash because we're walking through an open field with no paths nearby and he likes to run. What does the dog do. Runs and jumps in this little ditch filled with water. Not fast moving praise the Lord. And out he comes. soaking wet. And as I'm staring in disbelief in he goes again. At this point I'm freaking out and call for him and back he comes. Prancing around like he just had the time of his life. Pick him up and wrap him in my jacket to keep him warm for the last 1 Km home. But nnnooo. He doesn't want to be held. So he walks the rest of the way on his leash drenched...in freezing weather. Happy as a lark. I could have killed him. But he definitely has that Fearless Terrier nature. I know this probably makes me a bad puppy momma letting my wet dog walk home. But have you tried holding a wiggly wet yorkie that wants to walk on his own? haha and Yes I blow dried him and snuggled in a dryer warmed towel once we got here. |
