| Wanted to Introduce Ourselves! Hi Everyone! My name is Jodi, and I have an 8-months-old Yorkie named Bella (which I never realized was such a popular name!). Anyway, my husband and I have had her since she was 2.5-months-old. She is such a great dog to have (and would be ever greater if she would get housebroken). But really, she is great. We couldn't love her more. I'm so nervous right now, b/c my husband and I are leaving for a 10-day trip, and we are leaving her with my in-laws for that time. Not really sure why I'm nervous about it. They are very caring people--don't even care if she pees everywhere! I just worry she will escape, and they won't be able to catch up to her. Anyway, enough rambling... We are happy to be part of this great Yorkie community! |

| Hi! Welcome! I completely understand about your nervouseness in leaving your Bella with someone else to look after. I feel the very same way. Even though you know the people are good, kind and will take the very best care of her, no one can watch her like you can. But take a breath, let it out, and enjoy your trip. Tell them you'll be calling to check on her, after a few calls you'll begin to relax and will be able to have a nice time. Post some pictures when you can, too!

| Welcome to YT. I also have a 8 month old yorkie girl. We're still working on the potty training. Just when days go by and there are no accidents and I think this is it she's trained we have a little mistake in front of the glass door. I usually blame myself because I should have been paying attention to her and I was busy elsewhere. At least she's looking outside during her (my) mistake. I can also relate about the worrying. Right now my baby is having surgery for Leg Perthes Disease and I can't think of anything but her. I know she should be just fine but I'm worried sick and waiting for a phone call from the vet saying everything went just fine.
