| Hi! I have noticed that if I leave Olivia's in overnight, it is more difficult to remove because the hair tangles around the band. So I recommend removing it before bedtime...but her hair isn't real long either so it's not like it's in her eyes or anything when it's not in a topknot. (In our avatars, I think our babies look a lot alike, don't you?! except Olivia has some darker brown on her nose)

| I don't leave Gracie's in, her hair is quite long and like MeAndMyOlivia said, I find that it gets tangled. I take hers out once we are in bed and massage her head some. She seems to really enjoy it and will close her eyes while I do it. I have long hair and my head feels good when I take my ponytail out at night. I think it's beneficial for the scalp to relax at night.

| I don't keep rubber bands in at nite but I usually leave the soft terry bands in at nite. I feel like it is more frustrating to her to have the hair in her eyes!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I keep Roxie's in because she can't see when it's out and we're up during the night a couple times with my old pom. Maybe I should try and use the looser terry bands.

It may depend on how thick it is and what kind of texture the hair has. Skeeter's hair is so thick I will NEVER grow it out. He will always have a puppy cut. | |

| Olivia does look alot like Abby. They could be sisters. Abby's hair is not long either, I don't always take her ponytail out but I will from now on. She loves to have her head rubbed. She lays her head in my hand so I will rub it!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I keep it in at night too, just make sure you never have the hair pulled too tight, day or night.

♥ love my girls!! ♥ Donating Member | LOL!! After I do up Bella's topknot but before I put the finishing touches on it, I always check her for "surprised eyes".....I gather her hair up while she's on her back in my lap, but I roll her over so her chin is on my leg when I twisting the band in, so I can't see if I got it too tight until I'm done. Pretty regularly I have to hold onto the base of the hairs (on the side that looks surprised) and pull on the rubber band a bit to loosen it....that does the trick!! Of course, Bella's hair is just long enough that it's in her eyes but not long enough quite yet for anything more than a tiny knot. I keep hers up all the time (even at night) because the hairs poke her eyes and make them tear, which I'm certain cannot be more comfortable than no knot. When her hair gets longer I'll try the terry ones, but she's a bit fussy so they might not stay. For a few minutes right after baths AND a topknot re-do, she drags her whole body, face, head on the ground. I guess she doesn't like the clean feeling , and I know she doesn't like the topknot....she gets used to it though.

yeah, a lot of times when i take milu to yorkie meet-ups, i see a few 'surprised' yorkies. and it makes me chuckle... and feel a little bit bad for them...hopefully they don't wear their top knot that tightly ALL THE TIME!
