| big dogs and little dogs together Ok so we just got a new dog it is a dalmatian that we think is about a year old and he is really timid and is really scared we think that his previous owners abused him he is a really cute dog but my yorkie can walk under him all he does is sits on the couch and he does not make a sound ever we decided to make him an inside dog cause he has a tendancey to get loose and we have to chase him for a long time until he gets tired and decides to lay down so he is now an inside dog but we think my yorkie alley and him r in love but he is sooooo much bigger than her and alley has been going to the bathroom out on the porch and she has her own little green cable that we hook her 2 while she is out there so we started hooking the dalmatian to it and he pees all over the porch and if there is a wet spot out there where alley just peed then he pees on top of it so we think there is a relationship starting i really hope not i don't want my 700$ yorkie to be breed with a dalmatian he sleeps in the bathroom at night and she sleeps in a crate because we r trying 2 crate train her but when they r out they are together and if we let the dalmatian out alley barks constantly and if we let her out he whines constantly i think i have a huge problem i don't even think that alley has come into heat yet because she is only 6 months old and the vet said that she would not come into heat until she was about 7 months and we plan on getting her fixed real soon he does not even come to us when we call him when i finally get him otu side and on the leash i run inside and get him a treat my uncle says that he is just nervous and that he should get better but we are really worried about him! |

| I would get both fixed ASAP. I don't think dogs get "in love" though. All they know is to reproduce. Nothing else. I think they are just creating a bond and don't like to be apart.

| One of the Dalmatian breed's genetic defects, is deafness. So make sure his hearing is okay. Do you plan to have the Dalmatian neutered? He's old enough, & it can help with some issues.

| I thought the plan was for the Yorkies to have a non-sexual friendship?

| Then why wouldn't she get her girl Yorkie fixed? She specifically said she didn't want to get her fixed so she could get a male so they could be together. Maybe I'm not reading it right.

| In her original post, she says that she plans on getting her fixed real soon. Then in a later post, with the comment about the male Yorkie, she says she doesn't want to get her fixed yet. I didn't read anything about breeding them, but maybe that's is her intent.
