| Problems I am having some issues with my new roommate...i guess not with her directly but her dog and the treatment she gives her....She has a 19 week old Jack Russel who is absolutely adorable!! My roommate is gone ALOT and keeps Daphne (her pup) locked in a sun porch type room with her kennel some toys and water and a potty pad....Daphne is out there pretty much all day except for an hour or so here and there....I want to let her out when I am home but she is WILD and mean to Gracie....Gracie is petrified of her and they beat each other up!!! Gracie has always been WONDERFUL around other dogs and she went and played with Cosmo yesterday and they wrestled but not like her and Daphne are....Gracie will bare her teeth with Daphne...I don't know what to do...I feel so bad for Daphne but I am not going to lock Gracie up to get her out!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

| Well it seems to me that your roommate doesn't have time for a dog, and should find her new owners that can provide the time to care for her properly. But I know that's not up to us to say or to make her do. I just had to get it out of my system. But I don't really know of any other solutions, other than what Chachi recomended. Give it a try. I feel so badly for poor Daphne too.

| Probably the reason the Jack Russel is so aggressive is because she sees all the attention you give to your baby, while she gets none. You need to give your roomate a wake up call. |

| wow..she got the wrong kind of dog if she's going to be gone all the time. I know from Experience JRTs need alot of attention..i know..my parents have 2 ( what were we thinking..hehe ) but they start to get aggressive if they dont get enough attention.. Ours actually fight all the time b/c they get jealous of each other. It's just instinct of the dog. I'd def. give your roomie a wake up call..b/c if that dogs treated like that as a pup.. it will turn to be agressive it's entire life. We actually have one agressive and one non agressive. The none agressive (max) will play and play and play with bentley. But (jake) will actually snap a bentley. Jake does not like other dogs. Which is probably how daphne will probably turn out if the problem is addressed now..Dont get me wrong i'm not saying his a bad dog. Jake is a great dog. When he's all alone he wants to be in your lap and everything. But we cant take him around other dogs.. Esp. since you have your little baby there to i'd hate to see them get in a fight..

I would just sit her down and talk to her calmly about her dog. This is definately no way to have a dog. She needs socialization from humans and dogs alike. If she dosen't have time for the time why have it. She would be better off with someone who can either make the take or has the time for her. I know how bad you must feel for her. Hopefully things will change soon.
