| Just curious about this... I live in Cali, and it gets pretty darn cold out here in the winter. It doesn't snow but it's super cold out here. So when I take Coco for walks in the winter time, should I buy her boots or socks or something? Will her poor little feet get cold if she's just bare in the feet? I've bought her coats and jackets and sweaters, so she's good there, but I don't know if I should invest in socks or shoes for her. P.S. Villette this is only my 2nd for the day...I got 13 more threads to go..hahahahaha

| i live in cali too...... and to tell you the truth it never crossed my mind...... partly because it is UNSAFE to take them out after dark (this is when it gets REALLY cold) or in teh full on heat, when i say it is unsafe afterdark i am talking about the wierdos that like to hang out in our walking area (and it is remote, so its not so much for toby's safety as it is for my own)....... so, i usually just take toby in the morning or late afternoon/early evening and the ground seems ok for him to walk on.... |

| Check out the boots on Pet Edge. They have cute blue boots for boys and adorable little pink boots for girls. I am going to buy 2 pink pairs of boots for Katie and 2 pairs of blue boots for Codie.

| I just posted on the other thread about boots. I live in Maine and the winters can be brutal but my kids just won't keep them on. I wish they would though because they just don't get the exercise they need in the winter here. Maybe its just the type I used. I don't know. |

| I know Coco will keep them on because she's a diva and she'll wear ANYTHING. I don't think that it's just night time that's cold. It's always cold, no matter what time of day. I wasn't planning on night time walks but I was just curious in general, for day time walks. LA is ok in November, but I think September and October are great there.

| Haha! I just thought it was funny how you said that it was really cold in Cali. I live in Windsor, ON - Canada. And although I've never experience Cali, at all, it just sounds funny to hear you say that because I associate Cali as being warm all year long! I never knew that the temp dropped there.

| No many people think that but it gets bone chilling cold here. LA and southern Cali is a warm spot during winter but I live in the bay area it's FREEZING here in winter. Heck it's cold here already. Infact Coco wears sweaters to the dog park.

| You need to come visit here this winter to see what cold is- when the wind chill is like 20 below zero! I am so glad Macy is using the pads as well as going outside because I think her little feet would freeze to the ground if I put her out to do her business or worse!

| Where I live, in the 30's. I know it's not a big deal for those of you living on the east coast but that's really cold for us here. In fact anything below 50 is freezing for us because we're used to warmth.

| Nobella, YOU LIVE IN THE BAY AREA LIKE ME!!!! Cold...what? It never gets below 55 here! You are nuts. Anyway...I think Coco would be fine if you take her out on a cold day without little shoes. Just put on that cute sweater on her to keep her warm. I got Stomper in February. As you may recall, we had tons of rain. I walked him everyday (even if it rained). I would just wait until it stopped and would walk him on the cement only. His feet would not even be wet since he does not have long fur on his paws. Just put the sweater on her! That cream one is way too cute!

| There's been plenty of 30-40 temps out here. It especially gets cold in Turlock and Pleasanton areas. I guess I pay too much attention to the weather. but I was just worried about Coco.
