| Need Advice- This poor baby I put an add online about wanting a Yorkie. I got a reply. This is what it said. 3 year old male, not neutered, named McQueen I called the girl back and this is what she told me. I got him from a friend of a friend who could not take him to her new place to live. She did not know the last time he had been to the vet, or if he was registered. She said the girl had moved and never gave her any of his information. She said she thought he was full blooded, but was not positive. She also said he weighed about 4 to 5 lbs. He is layed back and very cuddly. When I asked her why she was rehoming him, she said that she took him and thought she could give him the attention that he needs. She babysits at her home and has another bigger dog and cat, and has found she does not have time for him. She was asking $200 for him. I asked her, considering he would have to be vetted immediately, if she would take less. She did not hesitate. She immediately dropped down to $125 with no arguments. She told me I could come to her home and get him today if I wanted him. What would you think in this situation? He is located just south of Indianapolis, Indiana. I feel so sorry for him. I have a picture if anyone would like to see it. It is too big for this site Please advise on what you think.

| I would probably go see the pup if you are looking to adopt. Also keep in mind that he may need more than the normal check up because it has been a while. Also I would be worried about the pup bring stolen...it does seem like she just wants to be rid of the pup... But then again everything can check out and you may be saving this pup from a life of being tossed from one home to the next. Good luck!

| Maybe you should rescue this poor baby boy! Sooooo sad to hear about this situation, with the people that have had him. Sounds like he really needs a good, loving home, poor baby! I am astonished that they have no info on his history, something seems to be a little fishy... Poor little boy! |

| If you can afford extensive vet costs (it's best to assume that is what it is going to be since you know nothing about the parents or this dog's history), I think it would be a good idea to rescue him.

| i would check the craigslist listings in that area to see if theres any missing yorkies. Id hate to think that this dog was stolen...but.....there has been cases like that. Has this person taken the dog to the vet at all? If so..ask if you can speak to the vet first and see if there are any serious problems with the dog.

| He looks like a yorkis to me. Poor guy, maybe it's just me but his little eyes look so dull, and he looks a bit skinny, but that may be because he is shaved down.

| He looks full blooded to me... Sounds like the possibility of him being stolen could be real. You could go check it out and go with your gut feeling. You very well could be saving him from a worse outcome. Check the lost and found, Craig's list, etc... for anyone that has lost a yorkie. ( it could be him ) |

| I think the fact that you can go to her home & meet him (& her) is a positive.

| I think you should rescue the little guy. Sound like he needs a stable home. The story sounds okay to me. Just sounds like she wanted the dog, but maybe it was too much for her. If she was just out looking for a buck, then she would probably charge more. Also, it is good you can go to her home to see him.

| Poor baby is right. I hope that is an old picture. With a haircut like that in the weather they are having he could be in even worse shape. He does look purebred to me. I'd go look at him, check Craig's list as suggested, but see if this boy needs to be rescued. Good luck to both of you.

| He looks all Yorkie to me! I would go and get him and give him the most wonderful life that he deserves... For $125 I don't think you can go wrong. "If" he were stolen, you may be his only hope You could get him and if it winds up that he was stolen, I am sure the original owners would gladly refund you (I know I would) - BUT - if he is just in need of a Good Home, then give it to him ...someone is going to grab him for $125 and they might be horrible to him Think of it as you 'adopted' him from a shelter... | I'm thinking with her lowering the price that quick, and him not being neutered, that he's probably marking all over the house. I know I wouldn't want a male that was marking or peeing all over |

| update I just spoke to the girl about him again. I asked her if he is potty trained and she told me that he does go outside, but occasionally tries to mark in the house if not watched carefully. She also let it be known that since she has a bunch of kids running around her house, she keeps him crated most of the day when people are there. I have one question. Is it possible to break a 3 year old baby from marking in the house? I feel so sorry for him. Today is my 14 year old sons birthday. He took one look at McQueen's sad little eyes and handed me $50 of his birthday money and said "Mom he looks so sad. Let's make today his new birthday and get him". I am so torn. I don't know what to do! The only issue I have is with the marking. She also told me that picture was taken about a month ago. Please help!!

| I hope you go get him, that is a precious little boy who needs some loving. I don't know about marking in a dog but I have a male cat who was spraying (I got him around the age of four years old). I had him fixed and the spraying did stop. I hope you get him, I will worry about that sweet little dog.
