| Hi welcome to YT I'm pretty sure the standard doesn't state a length, it just says that the body should be compact (I could be wrong so someone correct me if I am) so even if your baby doesn't have the confirmation that would make him ideal for showing he's still all yorkie I have a yorkie that is above the standard weight and doesn't have the desirable 'cobby' body shape but, like you, my baby is the love of my life I've learnt from YT that yorkies, like people, come in all shapes and sizes and if you stick around you'll get to enjoy all the wonderful varieties xxx xxx

| My sweet boy is 11 pounds! He isn't fat at all, just BIG! You never know what size you are going to get, but I've found that the bigger Yorkies tend to be healthier and have fewer "breed-related" health problems. My Kodi is way above the breed standard (7 lbs), but I love every ounce of him. And he is beautiful!

| Baxter just turned 1 and he weighs 6.5 lbs. He seems very long to me also. I've never measured him but he seems long. |

| This is what the standard says: Body Well proportioned and very compact. The back is rather short, the back line level, with height at shoulder the same as at the rump. In other words, if he is 14" long, he should be 14" tall from his shoulder to the floor. |
