| we made it through our first night prince made it through his first night.. i slept on the floor outside his cage and comforted him every time he started to whine which was about every 3 hours.. but he would fall back to sleep quickly. the only concern i have is this little sniffle noise he keeps making.. its not a sneeze and hes not smelling anything but it definitely come from his nose. any idea wat this could be? |

| I just wanted to welcome you to YT. I'm glad you made it thru your first night. Sorry you had to sleep on the floor. I'm one of those silly people who has had Murfee sleep with me since the first night. I would suggest a vet visit if the sniffles persist.

| That's great and congrats on the pup . I would not give him any attention when he whines. It's hard, but you have to ignore it or it could lead to a habit where he will whine and bark anytime he wants your attention, which could be a problem in public or just an annoying habit.

| How old is he and how small? He should be able to play much longer than 15 minutes without going low on sugar. Is he eating good? |

| What??? He can't play? That doesn't sound right to me. I'm no expert, but I got Missy at 7 weeks old and she played. She also had low blood sugar episodes, but I noticed them happening after long sleep sessions and not eating enough, it had nothing to do with play. Weird! Anyways, congrats on getting through your first night. I've moved Missy to my bed now, but the first few weeks she spent in her crate with the door open inside an x-pen. You're a good Mommy staying close like you did all night. It must have been an uncomfortable sleep for you.

| Awww, you guys are the best Yorkie parents ever! If you're already using the vitamin supplement twice a day, I'll bet that you won't have any problems. I ended up doing the same with Missy but 3 times per day, and gradually weaned her off. It's good that your baby has a hearty appettite. I still have to remind Missy to eat even though her food is always there. I hope you guys get a decent sleep tonight. Enjoy your new little furbaby.

| You'll notice when he is getting tired and then I'd stop the play. I can tell with Ellie when she hesitate to bring her ball back, is panting quite a bit or doesn't run as fast. If you are concerned, he can eat more often (not necessarily more per day unless his metabolism is fast). Most puppies regulate sleep and play time just fine. They will take a nap when they get tired.

| Aww bless you sleeping on the floor! Congrats on your new little one and welcome to YT I can't give any advice on the low blood sugar thing (Twinkle was a porky pup) but I'm pretty sure if your baby is eating well then he can enjoy lots of playing. There are loads of YT members with tiny yorkies who are as healthy as horses xxx xxx
