| Chip - the ultimate cookie monster My grandmother sent me some (yummy) cookies for Christmas. So I take my little bag of cookies and I go sit on the couch to watch Ghost Hunters. Well Adam was on the computer behind me and I went to say something to him so I turned my head back towards my left. I had a cookie about 4 inches from my face. Next thing I know, I hear this grunt and see this black and tan furry object flying at my cookie. He got a little bite too! I elbowed him away, because the cookie had a chocolate kiss on it, but that lil brat tried to steal my cookie! Why do dogs think everything is for THEM?! Oh lordy, I wish I had a video of that... I scolded him, but then I burst out laughing cause it was funny just the way it all happened and the look on his face was like "What?! I just wanted a bite!"

| My Mini Dachsund My Mini Dachsund, Frank E. Footer who passed away 6 years ago was known as the "Cookie Monster". I was babysitting preschool children at the time. When they were sitting at the Little Tykes Table or walking around eating cookies he would just jump up and grab them out of there hands. It was hysterical. Oh except for the cries from the kids, "Frank ate my cookie". But they all loved him as he did them. We all used to laugh. |

| Chip is always trying to steal our food. When he was a puppy, we were taking him somewhere and decided to eat at wendy's... of course we had him with us, so we had to eat in the car. Well I look over and I see Chip gently and quietly so no one would notice, nibbling at the opposite end of Adam's chicken sandwich. It was sooooo funny! Smokey just stares at you until you give him some. I know you aren't supposed to feed your dogs like that, but a little piece of something healthy won't hurt 'em. Whenever I'm cooking, I'll give them a little piece of it... something like a piece of potato, chicken, tuna, beef, a veggie, apples... you know stuff that won't hurt 'em.

| Ok this isn't yorkie BUT...my Marshall (RIP) was one cool cat. One time we were watching tv eating wings (they were sitting on the coffe table). What do we see but this little orange paw snaking up from under the coffee table patting around for FOOD! OMG we feel out laughing. Pets don't even KNOW how funny they are! |

| Dogs and Puppies will always try to get at "people" food It tastes and smells very good to them But it's not good for them and some things like Chocolate are poisonous for dogs It's going to be easier on your training and easier on your dog's stomach if you stick with just dog food for your dog

| cookie monster yorkie? It’s good that he did not get the chocolate kiss. A tiny bit of chocolate probably wont be too much of an issue for a normal sized yorkie (you can check the web for amounts of chocolate that are very dangerous based on your dog's weight and cocoa percentage), but my first yorkie did steel a mini-chocolate (the tiny size you give away for Halloween) and got pretty sick even with that. I agree that people food (unless planned in advance and made part of regular routine) is not a good idea. I was giving our first yorkie apple at breakfast every morning, and when I had none to give him, he did not quite figure it out. These guys are creatures of habit, and when you give in to their begging (which I know was not the story in the original post) you are setting yourself up for bad behavior. |
