| HELP!!!!!! Traveling with Yorkie! Okay soooooooo I was about to post and ask how to make Maxx comfortable while traveling from CA to NY and back........but......well we got a free flight a promo thing, and to add our son and then our taxes ended up costing $526!! We are broke, but it is better than playing over $1000 for us to go......so anyway.......planned on bringing Maxx and just checked Delta, the crappy airline they gave us! Not only do they charge per bag, NO FREE BAGS!!!!!!! At ALL!!!! They charge $150 to bring your dog as a carry on ONE WAY!!!!!!!! so $300????????? Are you serious!!!????????? SOoooooooooooooo how can we sneak him???????? LoL Has anyone done this? I don't have anyone to puppy sit and don't trust anyone, I want to bring him with us and don't want to be without him for 2 weeks! |

| i just took my riley from florida to atlanta to cali and i flew delta.. yes its 150 each way and you have to call and let them know you're bringing your dog because only 2 are allowed in cabin at a time. the airport security will check your dog carrier for a tag thats signed by a delta counter person.. they are SUPER strict about it at LAX!

| my mom travels quite a bit more business, you will never sneak it on ther I can promise you, they are extremly strict on airplanes these days!! also, maybe you should look on the internet for info on flights, I am not sure if u are familiar with it but there are strict guidelines like things that are even allowed in your pocketbook, not the obvious stuff like knives or weapons but even things like toothepaste..not trying to preach to you I just dont want ur trip to be ruined...just trying to prepare ya!! good luck

Thor's Human Donating Member | That's a total bummer. I wouldn't try to sneak him on, though. You'll have to get through an x-ray machine, and I think a moving dog skeleton in your suitcase might attract attention. I'm sure your trip will be wonderful with your baby alongside though. |

| lol..This is why DH always travels alone to see our oldest in PA....He goes up there yearly.... As for sneaking him on board....Won't happen...When we traveled with just one...They always had me take him out of the bag and then they scanned the bag and checked our paperwork... I just do not feel comfortable leaving the B's in a boarding place...And our other daughters have offered to watch them but I just can't do it.... So this way, I guess you could say, Hubby gets a break from us once a year..lol Best of luck on whatever you guys decide. Joyce
