It can also be pronounced beaver(and that's what I call it), like the US, Germany also has accents, and my boy from Germany pronounces it beaver. So, for the pronunciation it's either beaver or bevair, how ever you want to pronounce it

It is Beaver. When Mrs Biewer pronounces her name it is Beaver.Ask Pruett she talked to her face to face.We talk to Mrs. Biewer about every 2 weeks on the Phone. In reality there is not half as much mystery to the Biewer. It was all created in America, mostly by people that have no clue what they are talking about. That could be ,why so many are fascinated with this beautiful little dog. There is so much room to spin your own yarn. The BTCA is the only club that has done extensive testing on this breed and are able to back up what they believe in.If you are truly interested in what we have found out,we would be happy to share what we know and why.

Like it and agree with it or not, this IS a very true statement. There is still alot of disagreement within the Biewer community regarding the appropriate/official name for these dogs and their origin.

I have to say one thing about breeding colors, you certainly learn basic 101 genetics. Phenotypes (what you see) and genotypes (what is in the gene pool you don't see). I recently purchased a light colored yorkie - not sure what to call his color? He was born black but very quickly turned white. He carries for chocolate Bb and Cream Ee, does not carry dilute gene, and is a parti carrier. I registered him as a blue/gold because I did not know what else to register him as.
