| Loss of hair Hi, i'm a newbie and worry about everything! I comb Bailey's hair every other day. We never have problems with knots, we're very lucky. But, last night when I combed her out, she lost a good bit of hair. The comb had hair in it when I was done. Should I be concerned? What could be causing this? Thanks in advance for your help! |

| I am a "newbie" too. My little Koko has/had the same problem and I was worried, too. I found that she was scratching all the time and I noticed that her hair was getting thinner and thinner. After talking with others here, I have switched her food to Orijen and give her homemade snacks. (These are made with beef or chicken with sweet potatoes and no flour.) I also add a the contents of a Vit E and fish oil tablet every day to her food. It has only been a little over a week but, I am noticing an improvement! She seems happier and is not scratching! Her hair seems to be growing ( I am noticing new growth). I am glad that I asked for help. I also use hypoallergenic shampoo's. To help not make her look so "greasy" I try not to use too much conditioner. Good luck... Koko's mom |
