| my yorkie and my shadow :) Anyone else yorkie act as your shadow? Duke will not let me leave his sight. And as I am writing this, he is on my laps. I have to move the laptop from the desk to the coffee table so a part of him can be touching me. He will go everywhere with me in our apartment (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, closet) Is this bad? I love the attention and I am sure he does too but when I'm eating, although he won't want my food since he ate, he would still like to sit on my laps and chew his toys. Any similar experiences?

| My little boy follows me, too. He doesn't necessarily want to touch me ... in fact, he's usually aloof. But I can't leave the room, even if it's an adjoining room where he can see me. He will get up and follow me, lying down nearby until I'm ready to leave again. He will follow me back to the bathroom, peek around the corner to ensure my destination , then trot up the stairs to the bed to wait for my departure. I think it's pretty normal, and very endearing ! |

| :) My LuLu does the same thing. She has to be where I am and I love it. I can go into our bedroom and lay across the bed and she will bark until I put her up there with me. She just wants to be where I am and I love it.

| Same here! For examle, right now I'm sitting on a chair in the living room and REALLY wanting a bottle of water...but both furbabies are sleeping (one right next to me and the other on the top of the chair leaning against my shoulder) and if I get up - they most definitely will too! And then they'll have to potty...and baby, it's cold outside! LOL

| Wherever I am, that's where Canyon is, even if it's just a few feet away from our previous location. So cute and yet you feel so bad when you got to go to another room and they are sound asleep cause you know.....they will follow. Bless their hearts, they just love their mommy's and daddy's. |

| Bentley follows me everywhere too. He cries too sometimes if i go downstairs to do the laundry. He'll sit at the top and whine til i get back. I think it has to do with them being pack animals, and you have deemed yourself as his leader. Also if he's just a baby that might be something to do with it. But from what my vet told me it is something he will outgrow and become more independent as he gets older.

| They shouldnt really need to be in sight of you all the time..have you read 'The dog listener' by Jan Fennell? Its very good and will give you tips on how to reasure your yorkie that you are not in danger when you are out of their sight. Then they can relax and enjoy life as a puppy, instead of feeling they have to protect you. |

| Gus follows close behind me. I sense he is right behind me, but as I turn to look I don't see him. I do this a couple of times. Finally I see him. He turns right behind me, and turns, staying behind me, as I turn.

| Same here. If I go to the bathroom and don't get the door completely shut then Luckys lil head pokes through the door. I always laugh at him. If I get up at 6am so does he. He will go back to sleep until I move to get something to drink. I would'nt have it any other way though.

| Bailey is always right behind me unless I'm cooking. He hates the noise so he hides out in the office.

| Yes, they follow me every where. Sometimes it is sad - they are napping and really tired and I will get up and so will they. They know they are tired, but they want to be where ever I am going to be. I love it though, I know they are always by my side.

| Mine too! She is so small and always under my feet I had to put a bell on her collar so I wouldn't step on her!
