| Help!!!!!! i got my yorkie pup 2 days ago..and hes the sweetest little boy. When people are around he is happy and will sleep, but when we leave him he will whimper, cry and bark, i dont know if he is getting good sleep at night. I am not going to crate train him, because he already knows how to use the Peepads and i will allow him to run around the house even when no one is home. My friend told me to let him cry and soon he will stop. Is this the right thing to do? |

| well he is just young- and is not used to being away from his "pack" and dogs are pack animals that sleep together- so now he is all alone. I would put him in your room at night with a pee pad in there and his bed- whatever that might be. This shoudl stop the crying. I woudl't let him cry- he is telling you he is lonely and maybe even a bit scared. He needs to be with his new "pack" |

| Yes. If you ignore him he will notice that it doesn't stop you from leaving and sshould stop in a few days. I hope all goes well and congrats on the new pup! Can't wait to see pics!

| He is most likely looking for comfort from his pack or you. He is still needing to be close to you to feel secure in his new environment. I have been watching alot of Cesar Millan's shows, The Dog Whisperer on The Animal Planet. I use one of his techniques when Daisy does any kind of bad behavior that I want her to stop. You make a short, quick but authoritive Shhhh sound and follow with a no. After a short while, He will learn what the sound means and you can stop saying no. It works great! Give him all kinds of love, you both deserve it.
