| Pet Love store closing in LA For 15 years, Pet Love has been a fixture in the busy Beverly Center mall, its brightly lighted interior showcasing furry puppies for sale behind glass-walled kennels. But for the last six months, the sixth-floor pet store has been targeted by the Best Friends Animal Society, a national animal rescue and welfare organization that is waging a campaign to get Los Angeles pet shops to stop selling animals born in what the group calls inhumane puppy mills. | It's good news I guess. I've seen that store and many years ago applied for a summer job there thinking "I wanna be a vet, what better way than to start taking care of pet store puppies" Boy what a shock I would have received to find that these were puppy mill pups. The only thing that worries me is that the owners will probably just find a new place for the store. Or if they close down for good, what will happen to the puppies???

| That is very good news. It might be just a small dent in the problem but everything has to start somewhere. Let's hope and pray it spreads like wildfire |

| It's a good thing that it's being shut down, but I, too, wonder what will happen to the pups
