| ghost seeing yorkies? Ive heard dogs have a good paranormal activity seeing eyes but i never believed it. Sometimes lexie will suddenly wakeup at night and bark at something, i cant see, but she follows it with her eyes and head like shes watching it, the only guess i had was..did she really see a ghost, im into tarot cards, and stuff, but not the creepy things, and well it might just be me, but did this ever happen to you?

YT 500 Club Member | There is a show on Animal Planet called Breed All About It. It is about various dog breeds. The Yorkie segment talks about a famous author of romance novels who owns several Yorkies and a haunted house. It shows the little guys barking at what they said was probably a ghost. Have you seen that one?

| I have to tell you...I believe that they can see spirits. Clarence (handsome boy in my avatar) was my Mum's boy. When she passed away I told one of my sisters that we should take him to the funeral home for closure. Sherry, being my big sis, poo poo'd me UNTIL the day of our Mum's funeral. Clarence was laying in my livingroom sleeping, Sherry was walking past & he bolted awake & started barking into space...Sherry came to me & said "Maybe we SHOULD take the little guy to see her" We did..he sniffed her up & down, Kevin took him home & he was alright..very depressed but he got his closure. AND along came Keegan....little brother from HELL! |

| When I first got Cutie, I was in sophmore year of highschool and I lived in this 100year old house and I believed it was haunted. I wasnt able to sleep without the tv on for many years. But because I believed that Cutie could see if there was somethng in the room and would wake up or bark, I started sleeping better and with no tv on! But if she does bark in the middle of the night and stares into space that is when the lights turn on!

| My house has to have something in it, my bf woke up one night and saw a guy standing right next to our bed ever since then I wasnt able to sleep in my room by myself. Id wait until Joe got home or if I had to I would keep my door open and the TV on, I was so freaked out!! Since we've had Daisy im able to sleep better. There are times when she'll wake up shaking or barking at something we cant see, when that happens thats my que to go downstairs or wake Joe up. |

| My mother died July 11, 2007. I had bought Mika during her illness, but at a time in which she had made a turn for the better. It sort of looked like things were going to work out after all, but they didn't. I can't tell you what a comfort Mika was through my losing her, the funeral, the after math. Well one night Mika was sleeping with me. All of a sudden she ran for the head of the bed and PLASTERED herself to the headboard. She was staring fixated at a place at the foot of the bed near the dresser, and trembling like no bodies business. I reached for her to comfort her and she jumped 20 feet in the air to get away from me and plastered herself against the headboard again, never taking her eyes off that spot. No attempt from me to comfort her worked. I looked at the spot and asked....Mom is that you? Of course nothing happened, but Mika and I both just sat quietly for a long time, and eventually, Mika returned to normal, and that was when I knew she was gone. I am positive it was her, and that she was there.

| There is a belief, with a decent amount of scientific evidence that dogs can 'see' energy fields. All living things have these energy fields and dogs have the ability to sense them after a living person has passed, or even sense the energy across continents. This may be what your Yorkies are sensing! There is an AWESOME book, called Dog Body, Dog Mind that speaks to this subject and explains how this works and the scientific and anecdotal evidence to back it up. It is written by Dr. Michael Fox, a veterinarian and animal behaviorist. Its an awesome read. I read it as my grandfather was dying and it provided extraodinary comfort and gave me great insight as to why I am so attracted to dogs and feel safer/happier/comforted by their presence. Amazon.com: Dog Body, Dog Mind: Exploring Canine...
