The groomer made Remy look like a Chi!

Saturday I took Remy and Martini to the groomer at Petsmart. I told them that I just wanted a little trim on Remy just clean him up and Martini I just wanted the hair plucked out of her ears. Well when I came to pick him up and I saw what they did to him I started crying! They shaved him bald! He looks like a chi! I was so mad I started crying and yelling all togather. The lady who groomed him told me that this is what I asked for and this is what I had to pay for. And she was very rude about it too! I told her to look at the notes in the computer (that I stood there and made sure they put in) to what I asked for. Bold as could be it said " Remy a trim just clean him up and pluck hair out of ears on Martini." Then she brought Martini out they even shaved Martini too! I just wanted them to plick the hair out of her ears and they shaved her bald! I couldn't see nothing but red! The groomer formed her mouth to say "it's only a dog and the hair will grow back" She should not have open her mouth! I asked for a manager.

The manager came and wanted to know what was going on that a customer was yelling. I tried to tell him in what little calm voice I had left that this dumb a** groomer couldn't chew bubble gum and walk! She shaved my yorkies bald and it was her fault because she can't read instructions. He said that there was nothing he couldn't do and offered to sale me some sweaters 1/2 off! Not I'm sorry this is our fault there is no charge for the service and the next one is free. I was asked to leave the store and to never return! The groomer just stood there and smiled and asked if she could help with any thing else! I was so mad I told her if I my a** was on fire she couldn't even piss on me to help put it out! and I walked out. Remy and Martini don't even look like yorkies they even look sick! I'm thinking about looking in to learning how to groom them my self! I was just so hurt that they would do this and not say sorry or any thing.

Awww I'm so sorry. I'm sure the babies still look cute but I can see why you would be so mad. Especially when they should be kissing your a** over their mistake. If I was you, I would call the regional manager and make a big fuss that not only they ruined your babies look, they didn't even apologize or accept their errors and THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!!! Tell them that if something isn't done about this, you will report them. That's why I bought a kit from Target. It's a special pet grooming kit with a DVD on how to groom. It has all the proper utensils. It was like $25 all together. I groom Coco myself, ears, nails, hair and all.

WOW.. GOD forbid that any health issues happen to your pups. The hair is there for a reason. Dont let this go. I worked in retail, Write letters, contact the right people, get this matter known, and have documents to back you up. i cant beleive they would do that . I HATE PETSMART GROOMING!!! Last time i took mine and it came back looking as if nothing was done on it. Just bathe her and thats it. Tahts why i take her to private grooming places not those HUGE retail places. Ahhh. i dont even know what to tell you. I swear, i hit the face of the groomer if she told me its only a dog..(only if it were a guy). Maybe i am just blurting out stupids things by now. But just thinking about it happening to me makes me sOOOO MAD!!!! Got pics of the poor babies?

I took TJ to a groomer for the first time last month and they too shaved him, not bald, but close enough. He too looked so skinny and sick. But it was summer, so I firgured he is better off and that it will grow back soon, I'll tell you his hair is growing sooooooo fast! BUT I will never bring him back there again!

I think you should look into making a formal complaint in letter to their corporate office. This kind of behavior on their behalf cant be good for PR.

Wow! I am so sorry youhad such a horrible experience. I would write lots of letters and maybe even take them to small claims court. How awful. Another reason I have a groomer come to my house and I am there watching what they do to each one. it costs about the same and the dogs don't have to be left in a cage somewhere. They are at home the whole time.

As for your pups, I would buy some cute clothes and sweaters. They'll
be cute dressed up.
Do they look like chi's now?
What color are they?
Did they shave their faces too?

They really do have some cute outfits for dogs.

Remy looks so sad he lays around I cry every time I look at my babies. Martini looks like a little shaved rat running around. They are always shaking. It's in the low 70's here and when we left for work this morning I had to put little sweaters on them because it was cool. I have my office door closed today because I don't want anyone to try and be funny and say some thing dumb about their cuts I am just not in the mood. I can't even put bows in their hair.

I know I'd be bummed.
Everytime you look at them you feel mad and upset.
Just think, this will never happen again.
You won't ever let it.
It wasn't your fault.
If anyone other than you grooms them, I'm sure you'll probably be watching them carefully.
This day is the worst they will ever look because each day their hair will grow. Their new coats will probably come in looking gorgeous.

I am so sorry This is *one* of my biggest fears. I was toying with the idea of taking Shelby to a Petsmart just to get her ears trimmed and the hair plucked from inner ear...stuff I am afraid to do. I thought if I made the instructions simple they couldn't screw up.

So much for that idea! yikes.

If I were you I would write a letter to Petsmart. It will make you feel better to vent plus they need to take this very seriously. In that letter tell them you have posted this information on a website and other posters are going to stop going to Petsmart until you get an appropriate response.

You won't be lying. I am so angry for you that they have lost my business.

Definatyl call or write and make a complaint....I know that PetsMart generaly has great customer service (we had a aquarium issue and fish died etc and they bent over backwards for us so go to the higher up) I know how you feel I have felt the same way when Gidget has gone to get groomed......I guess that is why I do it myself now (Gidget, Daddy, Vincent and myself all gets cuts from myself) at least that way if you mess up it is just you and then you get just what you want.......Gidget actually sits still when I groom her now.......but it usually takes me two times......the clipper get warm and I dont want to burn her so we take a break and then go back to it later......but atleast she ends up how I want.
I stilll cant get over that they didnt even say sorry or admit that they were wrong.......good thing it isnt cooler weather already .....the poor little pups could realy get sick
