| Yorkie Hair Cuts Maija has long hair but I am thinking about getting it cut shorter because I really like putting clothes on her. As you can see long coats and clothes just don't mix very well. Well... my husband is aganist this cause he just loves how she looks now and thinks she will not look "yorkie-like" with shorter hair. So I am coming to YT for help. Please post pictures of your furbabies that have shorter cuts to give me some idea of how I would like Maija. Thanks YT fam!

| My Bean isn't pure Yorkie, but I love a medium length like she has. She is fluffy, but dressable!

| Rylie always had short hair when my parents and sister had him but I've been growing it out for over a year now and it's finally pretty long. I dress him everyday..I just make sure clothes aren't too tight and I brush before i dress and after I undress and it's fine. He doesn't get tangles too bad and no matts. I really prefer them with long hair too so I can understand where your husband is coming from lol but I know a lot of people like the convenience of shorter hair. I think having long hair and dressing them is completely doable though.

| Well I don't necessarily want to cut her hair super short or anything. What types of detanglers do you use as well as shampoo conditioner? I use Sante Fe detangler (horse product) does great but I think it kinda greasy makes her look shiney and oil so I hear. I am not use to hair like this because I am African American I don't have hair them so I am not sure what oily hair looks like but my friend mentioned it once. There are pics of her in the photo forum... does it look oily?

I also like to use the Chris Christensen After Bath as a conditioner. It seems to help leave their coat nice and silky. http://www.chrissystems.com/after_bath.htm

YT 2000 Club Member | I posted too about this but in the grooming section and didnt get but one reponse.. I did a internet search on different yorkie cuts and I found one that I really liked for my little guy. There was a ton of sites out there but most of them showed the same cuts. Good luck on finding one you like.

| You can see Adie's pictures in my CP, but I have her in a modified snauzer cut. It still looks like longer hair but it is an illusion. She just has a fringe around the bottom but the back and sides are short. I don't have any trouble with clothes on her that way and I don't have to spend a lot of time combing out knots. |

| I have ice on ice detangler, but, I find it makes my biewers hair look really greasy. I'm sure your baby will be beautiful either way(leaving hair long or getting a puppy cut). |
