| Egg Nog! My pups are like little addicts! They can hear the egg nog container come out of the fridge and know its egg nog without even seeing it! They climb all over us to get a sip! I read the container and don't see anything ingredients that they cannot have. We've been giving them a sip here and there, not too much as it does have a ton of sugar, but they LOVE this stuff!!! Anyone know of any reasons why they cannot have a sip or two here and there? Anyone else have eggnog-aholics at home?

| I guess I would be worried about the sugar and fat content with them. I don't drink it so I don't know exactly what's in it.. Pretty cute though!

YT Graphic Artist Donating Member | I would be worried about the spices. I know cinnamon is okay, but nutmeg can cause seizures.

| Yes! Sadie Mae (a Rat Terrier) was exactly this way for eggnog too. And mine had rum in it so I don't know if it was the eggnog or the rum that she wanted. I don't usually put nutmeg in mine - I do know that nutmeg isn't good for them. And I'd never let her have more then a sip or two the whole holiday season. Of course that's not counting for the sips she stole while I wasn't looking and she'd climb up on the table to get some. I'm not taking a chance that any of my 3 now would like it as I don't want to start that whole obsession thing going again. But I wouldn't think a sip or two would hurt.

| Did you see how much transfat is in that stuff? Not good for them at all. Hubby was just telling me the other day(when my stomache was upsets) there is more transfat in a 1/2 cup than what I need for a day.. |

Golden EggNog There is also no nutmeg in that eggnog. I had NO idea though that nutmeg was not good for dogs. Thanks for letting me know that! With it being a milk product its not a good idea to give them a whole bowl of it I guess... but it seems like one or two sips shouldn't hurt them. You guys should see them, they are nuts... they NEED a hit of eggnog! haha That Rat terrier story was too funny Theresa, thanks for sharing!!
