| I Can't Stop Smiling!! (Update on Panne) Max (aka Panne) went in to get neutered today. I was so worried but I just was told that he is doing wonderful! They are going to watch him for a few more hours but I can pick him up from 4-6. I can't wait!! I knew he would be ok . Vet said it was highly unlikely he had a UTI from his situation and it was probably just him marking and it wasn't worth it to do the urine test analysis unless I wanted to. Since he is not mine for sure I decided not to do it. Vanessa |

| I'm so glad your little guy came through with no problems. It's scary to have this done, but so necessary. All the best.

| He's Home! He's home! The little guy is perfect! They did end up doing the urine analysis and it was fine, except he had lots of sperm in it. This is normal since he wasn't neutered and gets excited easily. He doesn't like his E collar . The vet said he would be vocal tonight from the pain meds and he keeps whining. It's so sad when he crashes into the walls. I can't wait for him to be able to go on walks and be himself again without the collar. They are taking it off in 10-14 days. It was a bit more expensive than I first expected ($350 compared to $250), but at least I will not regret my decision because I now know I did everything I could to keep him. They only charged me for two extractions when they took out four, which is nice and saves me $20. They also made sure his urethra was clear for free since he was already under anesthesia. They told me to give him limited amounts of food and water tonight but I don't want to give him too little. Vanessa Last edited by nneessaa; 11-26-2008 at 05:22 PM. Reason: Spelled my name wrong |

| Glad all is well. Yeah, the E-collar was hard for me to deal with. Gus got used to it in a couple of days.

| He's so cute. glad everything is going well. when mine were spayed, I only used the e-collar when I was gone... I just kept an eye to make sure they weren't licking the incision. If you can keep an eye on him---maybe it will be less stressful to take the collar off? Just an idea.

| He stopped marking in the house and didn't at my sisters, my cousins, and our house so far. It was seriously an immediate change. He stopped constantly sniffing my dog, but after 15 minutes of playing with my cousins dog he did the constant sniffing again (but still doesn't sniff my dog). It had only been 3 days at that time so I'm hoping it will decrease a bit. I love him so much there is no way I can give him up so easily. Vanessa |

| I am so happy to hear of the positive changes!!! Good lord- 10-14 days on the collar??? I didn't use one on either of my boys. Ranger never even looked at his incision, and while Ryder licked his a bit, I made sure to watch him like a hawk. I would take it off when you are with him, and put it on when you leave. Poor buddy!!! More pics, please!!

| I don't ever put it on him because he doesn't lick them at all and he would run into walls. It was so sad . He did GREAT today with his pug buddy and played with him a ton instead of sniffing like usual. Problem is he marked in their house twice. Oscar pees in their house sometimes so it might have smelled like pee (pugs are stubborn and hard to potty train like Yorkies). He hasn't peed in my house yet so hopefully with praising the peeing outside he will get better. Vanessa |
