| Yorkie color's ..... I'm a new Yorkie owner , and I really have no idea about a Yorkie's coat and color changes. My dog is almost 8 mo. old and she is very black on her back , but it seems to be lightining up some , and her face is a reddish tan. At what age do their "true colors" come in? I was just wondering if she will change any more or if these are her colors. What colors did your Yorkies turn to? |

| Hi My Mika is 8 months too and she is still quite black on her back but her roots are silvery/blue. It can take a while for their true colours to come in or so I'm told (Mika is my 1st yorkie) Are you growing her coat out? If you were to get her clipped you may be able to see her true colours now, though yorkies can continue changing throuhout their lives from what I've seen. Check this link out! It really helped me! http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...rt-thread.html

| Hi. Your Mika is adorable ! I have Chloe's coat short right now, not a puppy cut , but trimmed to about to her tummy on the sides. Her face 'beard' is quite long though. My dh thinks she looks like cousin it from the Adams family right now , and my son's say a "wookie" from Star wars. Thanks for the link , I have alot of reading and learning left to do. It is exciting watching them grow and learn , its almost like having another baby in the house Thanks Chloe andSydney's mama |

| It can take up to 3 years for their true colors..My son has a brother and sister that are 16 mos old, the little boy is still pretty much black(except on the face), to where the little girl is completely silverish/whitish color, except on her face |
