| My Yorkie has no interest with toys..?? I adopted Bella from the pound and they think she may be 2-4 years old. They believe she may have been abused .. but she has never had an interest with toys.. NONE. I kept thinking she may have never had any but she'll catch on seeing all of Bailey's and see him playing with them. She hasn't. Has anyone ever experienced this? Does anyone have a Yorkie that has no desire to play with toys? She chews on bully sticks and sometimes licks the cat's catnip toys but that is far as the playing goes. If I throw a ball or toy she just looks at it like

| I got my Mo when he had just turned 3. He is five now. He was rehomed from a not very good situation. He would never play. I bought him new toys and tried to coax him but he just wouldn't play or seem to have an interest. He is now like a little puppy and plays a lot either with my other yorkie or even all by himself. I don't remember how long it took but he is a totally different dog then what he was when I got him. How long have you had Bella?

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Maybe she thinks Bailey's stupid. The older Ramsey gets...the less she is interested in toys. She'd rather be squirrel hunting. Sometimes she gets involve in toy play...just to irritate the boys.

| I got my Toby at four months old and he's never been interested in toys unless they're motorized, make noise and have lights flashing (some cat toys) -- then he acts like he's crazied. He does love his chewies though each day but mostly he likes laying up on the back of the couch. My two girls though (one yorkie and one yellow lab) love the toys and play together all the time with them. :^)

| My Ava played with some toys as a baby but was very picky. She loves to play with other dogs but toys she could care less. The only toy she will play with is her squirrel and rabbit that are made to look like the real animal. Those two she will attach and chew and chew. When I take her to a friends house she will play with their toys, so many times I have ran and bought the same toy hoping she will play with it and she never does.

| I've had Meka since 9 wks... I've bought her every kind of toy you can think of, and she has no interest in them. She has two stuffed animals that she will play with, buy only if I play with her. Aside from that, bully sticks and pig ears are the only thing that will keep her busy

| Stormy doesn't show much interest in toys either. She gets into her little mood that I can play with her but she doesn't really enjoy playing herself, shes more of a cuddle bug! |

YT Addict | My roommates Great Pyrenees/St Bernard is not interested in toys either. Apparently the show Pyrenees had a run in with the neighbours st. Bernard, and the puppies weren't wanted and kept away from their parents in a barn until 5-6 months of age when she was adopted. I think this may have something to do with why she won't play with toys. She is 4 years old now, and in the last 2 years we've had her I haven't seen her pick up a toy once. |

| I had a little poodle for years and she only had (1) toy that she ever liked and it was one of those little fuzzy like "little man" ones. Lily loves to play with EVERYTHING!! |

| Thanks guys for your input. I guess I'll keep trying and if she doesn't, she just doesn't. She can keep licking her catnip mouse.

| My Izze and Chachi--both abused rescues don't like toys. Occassionally I'll catch Chachi flinging a toy, however that is usually fleeting. Both love chews though. I think that they just down know how... or they have no interest. They have to poodles to learn from (who love toys), however they still don't care.

| They out grow Toys I have 3 Yorkies, Artie 10 lbs./4 yrs. old, Abigail 8 lbs./3 yrs. old and their Daughter Pom Pom 5 lbs./2 yrs. old. Artie I got from a so-called Breeder but turned out to be a Puppy Mill and abused by my ex-BF has never played w/Toys he runs away from any excited Energy. Both Abigail & Pom Pom used to play alot but it seems that they out grew it after they hit 1 year old? They Play once in awhile now if they get bored or restless? When they do Play w/each other they always want what the other one has, so I think it's more of a "Alpha Power Struggle". Artie always acts like he's not Interested in anything but my 2 girls are Hunter's they mostly chase Squirrels.
