| Too Cold??? It has been very cold the past few days ... temps in the low 20s and windy. Yesterday I got Kiki ready to go for her walk (t-shirt and sweater on) .. and she kept stopping and looking at me and hardly wanted to budge. Today I opted not to take her out in the morning. I was hoping to continue our walks even in the winter if there is no snow on the ground. Do others walk their dogs when it is too cold or do you stick with indoor exercising? PetEdge: Casual Canine Snow Parkas with Knit Scarf And unless it is raining ice- we go out for a walk! She'll get used to it- She might also want little booties on if her feet are cold- but every day we go to walk- Layla fights it.. lol.... i carry her part way and then put her down and she walks the rest of the way! | |

| Kiki has a couple cozy jackets as well which I am going to put on her right now to try to walk her. I end up picking her up part of the way and then putting her down as well. I am sure everyone watching must think I am crazy carrying a dog for a walk. I know she is perfectly happy staying inside and being toasty warm. hehe

| I keep the heat in my house at 65 when Im not home. Sometimes I think that might be too chilly for my boys when its in the 20s outside. This morning my dexter was sitting on the living room floor and I had the slider open a bit while I was doing something outside and he was shaking sitting on the floor at least 10 ft away from the door!!! I do not walk them in the winter but I do let them try to go outside for 5 mins max in my boyfriends yard. I put sweatshirts on them, but its really their paws that get cold!

| Well here in the frigid cold of Dallas, Texas I would take Annie to one of the pet friendly stores to walk around. But then Annie was a princess and didn't like the cold at all. Now Boo and Gracie don't seem bothered by it much and love to still be outside. I don't think Yogi has made up his mind yet. I have sweaters for them all and we will walk them for as long as they continue to enjoy it. But if the time comes when they decide it's too cold, I will do like I did with Annie and go to pet friendly stores and walk around. It's as much for the exercise as the stimulation that they get for being out of the house.
