| I know what you are talking about. If I look at away, she is gone. My little girl would only stay if she wishes. Unless, of course if I close the door, put up a baby gate, or put a leash on her and tie the other end to my ankle. |

| Two baby gates? I'm sure they sell taller ones too.

| Try Treats... They Work Perfect! My little girl has very bad allergies. So she knows that if she goes into the other room she can scratch as much as she wants and she wont get caught... little smarty pants! So I found a great treat that Lola love and I would like to share with every one. When Lola leaves the room... I would shake her jar....while I called her, "Lola Come!" I've been cutting back on treat and she's now coming when ever I call her. Instead of a treat, I praise her when she comes. We are still working on it but she's not doing the disappearing acts as much. Make sure when you choose a treat, you can give them a small amount of it. You don't want to upset the tummy with an over load of treats. I would break off a piece the size of a dime and she doesn't care. As long as she gets noticed or a small treat. She's happy! We LOVE Dr. Becker's Bites - http://www.drbeckersbites.com/ Ordering Site for Dr. Becker's Bites - Web Pet Treats Becker's Bites come in two flavors Beef Liver & Kidney Bites Bison Liver & Heart Bites. All natural, grain-free, filler free, USDA inspected products. It's a dehydrated thin wafer type threat. And work great for allergy pets and the pickiest eaters. My Cat loves them as well. So I gave them to my Parrot and he eats them too. Every one Loves Them. One treat for all my pets. Yippee! http://www.webpettreats.com/images/beckersbites.jpg

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | wow, I couldn't get mine to ever stay in another room, he always has to be in the room with me. He follows me everywhere. Probably my fault, when he was little and potty training I always made him stay with me. |

| I trained my dog to follow me by putting him on his doggie mat with a toy. I also used a leash that attached to him with a harness to train him not to leave the room where I was sitting. This technique made it easier for me to potty train him and kept him from wondering off. I did not need to worry about what my dog might be doing and kept him out of trouble. I think a puppy gate would work wonderfully for you too. I trained my dog to follow me by giving him the command "follow mother" by using the leash. My dogs love to follow me, and they hate to be alone if they know I am home. Last edited by Lovely05; 11-19-2008 at 10:34 AM. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | That is just so true, if I even dare move he jumps up. Drives me crazy sometimes. I now sometimes tell him to STAY before I get up. This way he won't jump up. Soon after he is right behind me. Unless I keep repeating the stay command....LOL |

| yes molie ann is close to me also, when it is dark or stormy she is right there. but at night sometimes when she is cold and I am busy, She sometimes goes in and gets on the warm waterbed. When I first brought her home, she would, and still gets in my bathrobe, curls up inside and hides. So I throw my bathrobe on the bed and she goes in and lays on it. Kind of like a blankee. ha ha, but it gives me a break. I have to fix dinner etc. and she wants to stand right by my feet. she will thump me on the shoe when she is hungary and I am fixing her food. it is like feed me first. I thought I had stepped on her but I was standing still and she thumped me on the foot. I couldn't believe it, only 2 lbs and she has her ways of talking to me. ha ha. Oh this furbaby. |

| I have a baby gate with a door on it so it opens and closes really easily.
