Our gal has arrived Our itty bitty gal is now home. I flew to Edmonton on Thursday to pick her up. She was an absolute angel on the flight home. She's much smaller than I had anticipated at 1.9 lbs. This gal is extremely tiny, she can walk right under my other two who are both 5 lbs. She's a bundle of energy running circles around the older ones. So far we've only had one accident in the house and although the breeder said she was paper trained she has yet to go near either the paper or the pee pee pads. She whined for a few minutes last night wanting out of her crate but I just ignored her and she soon settled down. We aren't having much luck in naming her. I want to call her grasshopper but hubby says that's too long a name for such a tiny "fart" as he calls her. She doesn't have much of a voice so maybe Squeak will suit her. I'll post photos later today.

I have had 2 of mine come from excellent breeders, all were "potty trained" when I got them. They learned by watching their mama and other dogs around them. Takes them a few days at their new home to learn to do it by themselves. After all, new environment, new smells, it takes them a little bit of time to get oriented, then they start using the pads without a problem. Give your little one a few days, and even still she will have accidents for a few months--she is just a baby.

Congratulations on your new baby! She sounds like a doll! I knew a really nasty dog named Cricket once...but I don't have any other good name suggestions right now. Good luck on picking out a name!
