| How did you convince spouse? Let's hear your stories. How did you convince your spouse to agree to adding a new fur baby to the family? 6 months ago I started casually mentioning getting a dog, and hubby was completely against it. He was concerned about chewing furniture and extra messes, since he does most of the cleaning. Then a couple months ago, I told hubby that we really should get 2 dogs, so they could keep each other entertained while we're at work. Somehow, as soon as the idea of 2 dogs came up, a panic alarm went off in his brain. All of the sudden, he caved in "Okay, okay, we can get one, but only one." Of course, I'm secretly hoping to get another one in a few months once London settles in. (I'll post pics of London soon. She's coming home with me tomorrow. Counting down the hours now!) |

| I had to convince my Husband to get the first one but it was his idea to get the second one and we got her a month after we got our first one. My breeder was thrilled she said she thinks they do better in pairs. My two are very close yet they are also very affectionate towards us.

| I'm not married yet...but my boyfriend and I might as well be. lol I have always wanted a puppy, but my parents were always opposed because we have white carpet throughout the vast majority of our house. So he always knew that we would have a little one at some point. I kind of surprised him this summer when I bought my little angel while I was away working in Michigan. And as soon as he met her he absolutely fell in love. She is a daddy's girl and she's got him completely wrapped around her little paw. They are adorable together. And we're thinking about getting her a little sibling soon...his idea

| Maybe if you say you want 3 dogs, he'll say OK to 2!

| for my seccond dog Max.. we went to a family friends home and the neighbor had puppies.. All i wanted to do was smell puppy breath..so the lady brought me over...and there was lil tiny boy with these blue eyes and I fell in love.... I walked over to my hubby in the other house with the puppy and looked at me with puppy dog eyes and said can we have em?? and it was the puppy that basically convinced him lol and the thought of having his own dog and actually being able to afford max

| I just brought the second one home from the rescue facility and said, SURPRISE! LOL. He left me in August...so don't follow my advice! Well, OK, it didn't have to do with dogs, he was an alcoholic who refused to get help...he actually loved our dogs...anyway, make your case and wait until your first is potty trained. then the baby copies the first one!! Having them keep one another company though is a huge, huge help!

| My boyfriend never had a pet in his whole life before Pepper, so it was a little tough to convince him. He really wanted to get a puppy chocolate labrador. For our anniversary he bought me the yorkie and I bought him a turbo upgrade for his wannabe sports car. We made a bet that the dog would end up costing more than his car repairs over time. German cars have so many weird issues, I totally won that one! We don't even count how much she costs anymore because we could get rid of the car, but we could never get rid of our little girly. |

| Easy. The first time around I said, I'm going to get a dog...I'll see you when I get home, make sure there is nothing in the floor when I get back. The second time I said, "I'm going to pick up antoher dog Saturday...let me know if you decide you want to ride with me or if you want to stay home." |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I tell him what I want and then talk about it incessantly until one day I get what I want. Our yorkie just had puppies and I knew I definately wanted to keep one,my dad was going to keep one and we would sell the other two.But Hubby decided we would keep all three all on his own (take your jaw off the ground really I had nothing to do with it).

I brought Daisy home on a "trial" basis (haha got him there) for a week, knowing full well she wasn't going anywhere after that week. He now loves her just as much as me.

| Actually, my first yorkie was DH's idea. We were getting our married daughter a little female for Christmas and I was constantly checking on her through the breeder. About 2 weeks before time to pick her up, the breeder told me she was so sad, no one seemed to want the last baby, a little male. I told DH, not even thinking he would react the way he did, and he said, poor little guy, why don't we get him. JPop will be 5 years old this Sunday! The next 3 were pretty well mutual agreements, but, number 5 came as a complete shock to him; now he loves my Lil Deuce Coupe! DH's are such pushovers!!
