| Oh how very sad. I will keep this family in my thoughts and prayers, I know they must be devestated. There are so many dangers that await our little ones. |

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | This was a problem when we lived in the desert in AZ. One of our neighbors dogs got bit on the head but lived. His head was very swollen for awhile and he looked really bad. He is one of very few that survived a rattle snake bite. He was about a medium/larger size dog, nothing like a tiny Yorkie. Our cats liked to surround the rattle snakes, we had a few close calls too.

| we also killed one on our front porch this summer, the labs alerted us to it my husband was getting upset with all the barking and carry on they were doing, he thought they had found another turtle and brought it home, but when he open the front door there it was.

| I am NOT even going to read that....that is just horrible!! That family is definitely in our thoughts and prayers!!! We, too, have a lot of rattlesnakes, copperheads, owls, hawks, bobcats, mountain cats, bears, coyotes, etc.. around here...my little ones are NEVER out by themselves...NO WAY!!! There is just too much that could happen!!! We had a huge copperhead by our front porch this summer and our three big dogs had it cornered, they do not allow anything in our yard, so they were not happy to have this big snake so close to the house! --course they are the same way with moles, squirrels, etc. --even my pretty birds!!! But they are doing what they think is right...not allowing anything close to the house! Love those big babies!!!

| In Calgary,AB Canada we have no need to worry about snakes but Hawks and Eagles. It can be just as sad an outcome with these preditors! That is why I have invested in an 10x10x6foot chain linked doggie play area with a screened roof, toys and tunnels etc........they love it! And I know they are safe and getting good fresh country air! Wow I just realized how spoiled my babes are! Mommie to HarmonyHersheyand Pitico |
