| Does this look like the same dog? Hi. I got a puppy from a breeder and she is coming next week. The first two pictures are of her when she was 8 weeks old. The next two pictures were taken this morning by the breeder and she is now 11 weeks old. Are her ears deformed? She doesn't seem to have the same cuteness--she actually looks mean in her photos today! The breeder said that she was tired. My friends have all purchased from this breeder and are extremely happy with all their dogs. I am not sure if I am being picky or just nervous since it the first time I am buying from a breeder that I cant see the dogs except via pictures. Any suggestions, comments or advice? please! Thank you. I have spent a lot of time and research and money on purchasing this puppy and I have gone out of my way to make sure I will take time off from work to be with her and I bought her a ton of toys and clothes and harnesses to spoil her. I just dont want to have a mean puppy..... |

| The facial features look similar enough that I think its just the difference in age that you are seeing. In the first set of photos also the ears are floppy and it the second it looks like they are going up. I think shes cute

| i understand ur concerns as i have only seen mine i am pickig up in a few weeks via pics too...i analyze them like crazy too since thats really the only source of info about her I am getitng...urs looks fine to me, i think its the same pup,ive seen a pup online that had her pics every wek until she was a year old and the difference between puppy and adult is crazy...still cute just a big change as they grow. i dont think ur pup is mean I think eveyrthing will be fine..i wouldnt just say that, i get it. I have spent an astronomical amount on toys and stuff as well

| She looks like the same dog to me. They can have very serious expressions sometimes. These little ones change a number of times while they are growing up and rarely look like their baby pictures. My Adie was black and gold when I got her now she is silver and blond! You would never be able to match her to her baby picture. The givaway, I think, on yours is the ears. Your little one's ears are set a bit low on her head. They aren't deformed though. They are just trying to stand up straight. Keep an eye on them, you may have to tape them if they don't firm up. She is an adorable little girl though and I think you will be proud and happy to be her new mom when she comes home. Good Luck and giveaway on your new puppy! |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | The others are right, you've got the same dog in both pictures. The ears make a big difference in the appearance but looking at the dogs nose, they look the very same to me. She's adorable and I know you'll just love her!

| Thank you. I just hope that she does get cuter and is friendly. Its quite nerve wracking! I just dont want a dog that looks like the ears are deformed (breeder does say they will fully go up). I just dont want to be disappointed. Seeing her at 8 weeks--I was like she was soo cute and I was drawn to her. I let go of the first dog that I was goign to get because of a bite problem and then she showed me this dog and there were no health issues and she was a bit more expensive so I thought she was adorable, but now, Im kinda like, where did her cuteness go?? I hope her features change. I didnt realize they change so much in 3 weeks!! My friends say when you grow out her hair and put on cute bows and collars she will be cute. This whole process is just nerve wracking!!!! |

| I think the initial cuteness was associated with the ears being down.

| Her ears are set low on each side of her head in both pictures, so I'd say she's the same puppy. I think once she gets all the love and attention from you, she will have a very perky expression and a sparkle in her eyes.

| Awww I think she is really cute. Their expressions can differ from picture to picture. She doesn't look mean to me just serious. When she gets to know you more and bond a little more, I am sure she will look happy and cheerful and cute!

| awww, I don't think she looks mean at all. Their expressions change a lot, not just as puppies but all thru their lives depending on what's going on. It could be that there was a lot of noise and activity that had her a little concern during her second photo shoot. You better take lots and lots of pictures after you get her because you will not believe how much she'll change from month to month. 1) This is shortly after I got Annie, she looks scared out of her mind 2) Here she is a few years later, happy, confident and ready for fun 3) Here's Yogi during one of our visits before we got him. Doesn't he look so mean and tough 4) Here he is just a few weeks later.

| It certainly looks like the same puppy to me. She's just maturing some, and not looking as "puppyish". Her ears do not look deformed at all. They are just trying to stand up. The breeder should trim the tips to help them along. Good luck with your new pup!!

| I agree with everyone else! That's definitely the same adorable face!!! She's precious. Her ears aren't deformed, just not completely up yet! Don't be so nervous, everything will be fine! Plus, even if she did have a deformed ear, you'd loved her just as much once you hold her for the first time. Her hair looks so soft in the new pictures! She'll be great to cuddle with! Try and relax and enjoy the last week or so before she's home. Within 2 months you won't remember what your life was before you had her! Trust me! I ask myself this all the time!
