| Can anyone help me please? Hey everyone this is my first post becuase i usually find my answers in other threads but this time i couldnt find anything so it worried me. Today when i was petting my little baby girl, Layla, shes 4 months old, i felt a "knot" under her skin it almost feels like a little pea size cyst under her skin. i pushed on it a little and it didnt seem to phase her so i'm assuming that its not hurting her in anyway at the moment. I know i have to go to the vet and i called them as soon as i found it to make an appt but they didnt have any openings until next week...is this something that i should take her to the emergency vet for? and has anyone else experienced anything like this?? if so what was it? please help!!

| I would check to see if it feels like it got any bigger over a day or so and if not, keep your regular appointment. However, if it feels like it is bigger or it starts to bother her, then take her to the emergency vet. Good luck |

| Where is this located. If it is where she received shots it may be from that. |

| It's very normal to have a little swelling or a bump after shots...it will go away after a few days or so...maybe less...

| I felt a bump like this on Ralphie and it actually turned out to be his microchip that slipped down towards the middle of his back when he started growing.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Microchip, that was my thought after vaccinations. Also, it depends on where the bump is, if it's on her tummy it could be a hernia.

| yea it seems like it is...i dont see any red spots or openings on her skin. When i touch it, i can move it with my finger but it doesnt move far from the original spot probably only like a centimeter away from the original position.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Did she get a rabies vaccine? I believe that is given in the hip or rear and could be the source for the bump. It should go away within a few days.
