| Encouragement for those housetraining a Yorkie It's been awhile since I posted. In the past, I posted about housetraining concerns. Our Logan just wasn't getting it. He is now 16 months old, and I think he may finally be housetrained. We taught him to ring bells hanging on the back door knob when he wants to go out. We did this by ringing the bells whenever we took him outside to potty. Two weeks ago, we decided to "test" him to see if he can run free in the house without peeing or pooping. Sure enough, he has been running to the back door and ringing the bells with his nose. We go out, he pees or poops, and we come back in. Sometimes, however, he rings the bells just to go outside to play He has had no accidents in the house since we let him loose. So, don't give up! It just may take your Yorkie longer, just like it did mine. |

| I am so happy to here that there is a time that they get it. It has been a very LOOONNGGG process. Just when I thought we were there, she started peeing on the carpet immediately after coming in from going outside. Frustrated in Washington. My girlfriend is keeping Pebbles for the weekend, and my husband is excited because he said he needed a vacation from Pebbles. |

| Congrats on the potty training!!! Crosley uses bells to go out too! It's funny if she has to go really bad, she will almost sling them across the room to get our attention!
