| Is my baby going to get any bigger? Hi everyone! I have a Yorkie baby who is a bit more than 20 weeks old, he weights 3 pounds 9 oz tonight after dinner, I think he is on track to be a 5 pounder as shown on the growth chart. The thing is I don't think he is thin, but he is already 8" tall and 9" long (back). As I read from internet saying that full grown adult Yorkie should be this size, I'm a little confused. And the breeder told me her Yorkies stop growing early, the bone structure will not get any bigger. Is this true? Is my babe going to be a much bigger sized Yorkie? Many Thanks!!! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | It's hard to tell but I would guess he won't get much over 5 lbs. Mine did most of their growing by 6 months. I have a 4 lber who is tall and longer but thin, then I have a 5.5 lber who looks smaller than the 4lber but is more stocky. So it is hard to gauge their adult soze but he sounds like he will be on the small size.

| Thanks Patti! I don't worry about the weight of him, but I would like him to stop growing any longer. I think the standard is no more than 8" tall, am I wrong? |
