| Ear Question I did search and couldnt find anything on this, so I thought id just ask. I have recently adopted my first yorkie , shes about a year old and the previous owners never taped or clipped her ears so they dont stand up. Is there any way to get them to at this point? Just curious, I'd love any opinions you all may have. |

| You can always try shaving the ears, on both sides, to get the weight off and see if they stand and you can tape also if you need/want to. I guess I'm one that believes it's never too late...I know of a Biewer male that didn't stand his ears up until he was 1 1/2. |

| YES, my Suzi was 8 months old and was always had them down, or one ear up and one down. I took her to a professional groomer, and they trimmed them and tapered her ears, like A Yorkie is suppose to look like, no problems now with ther ears. Your Yorkie's ears could be just too heavy for him to stand up if their is A lot of hair. Also it is very important to have the hair plucked out inside of the ears. Because the hair on yorkie grows all the way down the ear. A groomer does this too.

| Remy and Roscoe's ears flop when their hair gets too long! If we keep all that hair groomed-especially on the tips--their lil ears will stand right up! Could have something to do with that...not sure. Just something I've noticed with my boys.
