| Snoodles was spayed at 5 months. They want to do it before the first heat because it greatly reduces the risk of breast cancer. After having a dog with cancer, it was a very easy decision. Besides, one wouldn't want their pet Yorkie to accidently getting pregnant and all the complications that could bring! Pat |

| We just had Addi spayed last Saturday and it was a hard decision for us. At first we thought, wow, it would be fun to let Addi have puppies. But after joining Yorkietalk and reading some great advice, we realized, 1.Addi was not large enough to have puppies(she weighs less than 4 pounds) 2.Breeding Yorkies is not an easy or money making idea 3.As much as we were afraid of complications from having her spayed, the risks she faced if we didn't were far greater. Addi is 15 months old and I know we should have had her spayed earlier but it took us a while to work up the courage. We ask for pre-op bloodwork, a certain type anesetic(?spelling), and ask many questions beforehand. She is doing great today. Hope this helps!

| Gracie was just spayed today!!! It was an easy decision with the health risks involved if you don't and the fact that I don't really want the mess...She is almost 7 mos...and I was a wreck!!! I wanted to call and cancel...it is definitley stressful!! But I know it is best for her in the long run!! It is best to have them spayed before their first heat...because after their 2nd or 3rd heat?? It does not lower the risks of cancer Good luck on your decision!!!

| Desi was 7 months olds when we decided to do it. My breeder and my Vet strongly recommended it because she is only 3 1/2 lbs. and her having puppies could kill her. |
