| I'm so happy with my vet. So after I got Mahina, I needed to find a new vet because the ones I took my cats to only took cats (and they overcharged a ridiculous amount and they were very much out of my way). So I did some research and found a place close by (5-10min) that had awesome reviews. So I decided to bring Mahina there. The first visit was wonderful, she listened to all my concerns and we talked a lot of about socializing, food, shots, spay, etc. The second visit the other vet took care of Mahinas shots (didn't do it in the same room as me, heck I never even saw the guy) BOO. Today I took her in for her final shots, even though I thought she was going to need one more set. I figured they usually do 4 sets. My vet said there was no need to overwhelm her system when it really isn't needed. She was close enough to 16 weeks and said she would be perfectly fine with this. She brought in the shots and did them in front of me which I was perfectly fine with. (My baby didn't even make a sound! ) She even said, without me asking her, that we would do the rabies in two weeks since she's small and we shouldn't overwhelm her system with vaccinations. I feel like I can really trust this vet and she's not going to push me with anything (tests, shots, medicine etc). I know this because I had to take my cat in after she was vomiting continuously and she gave me options and said we could take it from there. After a $125 normal blood test and giving my cat a 1/4tablet of pepcid ac she was better on her own. I'm just so happy I instantly found a vet that I know I can work with and talk to if I have any concerns. I'm definitely going to ask for her and not that other guy who didn't even ask me anything. **One question is she mentioned the Lepto vaccine. I told her I didn't want to do it since I didn't feel it was necessary and she was fine with that(she also said that yes some small dogs have reactions to it). She did tell me there was some outbreaks around the area (lakes, beaches...) and to be careful. I wanted to do some research to see if this is something I should be concerned about. We wouldn't do the vaccine till 3-4weeks after the rabies. |

| I forgot to add, I don't really plan on taking her to the beach or lake as I don't live too close from those areas, maybe like 45 min away. I guess it's the sea lions that are having outbreaks. Would she be okay without it? |
