| So Disappointed!!! I was stocked with candy and ready to go for Stewie's first Halloween. I had him dressed up (much to his dislike! haha) and only 2 trick or treaters showed up! As one of the neighbor kids who stopped by explained to me "We don't live in a strategic trick or treating neighborhood". They were headed off to a nearby neighborhood where they could get more candy quicker! haha. Oh well, now I know for next year! Candy anyone? PS: I was late to the costume game this year so at Target on Wednesday I got him the Santa outfit...I figured I could knock out two birds with one stone...I already told my husband that "Santa's Little Helper" is going to be our X-mas card this year! |

| Just posted on your thread! haha. I just put the candy outside on the front steps to avoid digging in myself and gaining 5 lbs....we'll see if there is any left tomorrow! Some lucky kids might just hit the candy jackpot! |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Cute helper...maybe at Christmas he'll have better luck. The "R's" hate halloween. It's the doorbell..let's bark our heads off, it's kids...let's bark at them....people in the street...well gee...let's.....BARK. I had my light off for awhile....then I felt like the Grinch of halloween....so I listened to barking for two hours.

| Thats funny! For the two kids that DID show up...I knew they were coming about 30 seconds in advance because Stewie was barking at the door. He is 5 months on Monday and so far he only barks at people coming to the door! Here's to hoping it stays that way |

After a week of rain and cold (and Phillies game delays lol) we had some half decent weather as well....(not a balmy 72 however lucky!) Seriously as a kid I remember being forced to wear tutle necks and long johns under my costumes...this should be a DREAM for kids this evening! I am sure they are having a great time...just not in our neighborhoods! haha | |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Awwww...we have had many gangs of Halloween Kids...I guess we have a Strategic Halloween Neightborhood. I spent $60 on candy at Sam's....one bag left....YAY! Baxter and Cooper hate it, Daddy just sprung them from their Kennels..... Darcy stayed out and answered the door with Daddy, and personally walked out and collected ooohhs ahhhhs and lovings from all the trick or treaters and parents. The look on her face is so happy, she is having the time of her life! |

| Well...Stewie looks fabu. Do not feel bad..we had ONE trick or treater...could it be that children are so over-indulged that they think TorTing is beneth them? |

YT 500 Club Member | Now that we don't have kids at home I am not enjoying Halloween as much as I did in the past. (I was once a Halloween nut) We don't know anyone with kids nearby, and we only have two boys in our neighborhood. Sooo, we put Sophie's pumpkin costume on and went to visit my in-laws in the assisted living home in the small town 11 miles away. They loved seeing her, and the residents were lined up in chairs in the lobby of the place giving out candy from orange buckets to little kids who came in from the community. It was fun. My mother in-law had to take Sophie around to show her off.

| I would have loved to give out candy this year, but this area doesn't have many kids. My area is not horrible, it use to be bad, now its being improved and alot of work being done. There are still alot of boarded up houses, houses with no kids, or frats near me. I am on the main road so its getting alot of attention but the side roads are not the roads that I would let a kid go down, if I had any. My mom had aurora for a week while I was in mexico and mom bought a halloween dress for her yorkie at walmart. Aurora was trying to steal it even though she is much bigger than my mom's, so mom ended up buying her one too. So she is all dressed up in her halloween dress.
