| New Mom Needs Help Our baby's name is Rico and he is only 9 weeks old. We will be picking him up from the breeder when he is 12 weeks old and approx. 2-2 1/2 lbs and are in need of where we can purchase , new & used clothes, car seat, playpen, etc. We have never had a Yorkie, so any helpful hints would be great. There is so much on this site, I haven't gotten the knack of it yet. I am so grateful for this site, it took me a while to find it and so glad I did. Thank you in advance for any help. Tamara |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and WELCOME to YT and CONGRATS!! How exciting!!! Well, a lot of things you can get at a Target or dept. store. For larger things, I know some people use Craigs List or ebay. Some people sell used clothes on here too.

| Hi ... and welcome to YT!! Congradulations on your new fur baby. I bought a lot of stuff for Onni at Petsmart and also WalMart has a decent selection of beds and clothes.

| Welcome to YT! The Target dollar section is a great place to find little tshirts, blankets, etc. Especially for small babies that are still growing. It's winter so Des (YT member Tiger's Mom) at go.fetch™ makes super cute pj's for keeping your baby warm. When Jamie was a tiny puppy, I just bought him a human baby playpen from Target for $40. Then when I felt like he was ready, I bought his crate at Petsmart. Most on here use Snoozer Lookout Carseat. You may want to google to find the best price on that as several people carry them. As far as carriers, Shana (YT member Shanatink) at Tinkerbells Closet Dog Boutique: Designer Dog Clothes, Custom Dog Dresses, Coats, Carriers & More! has a great selection and great prices.

| Where in NC? I live in Asheville andif you are coming to this area would like to get together. There is an Asheville Yorkie Group, but they have not replied to my emails about becoming a member, maybe because I don't have my baby yet. Thank you for welcoming us. Tamara |

| When Abby first came home, she only weighed 1.5 lbs, so nothing fit her. I read on here how to make sweaters out of fuzzy socks! They worked great I tried them on a stuffed dog before she came home I've found great things on Ebay and on here! So many members here dress thier babies so cute and then sell the clothes that are barely worn at great prices. Also, as others have said, Walmart and Target have some super cute stuff, as well as Petsmart. Also start checking around for a good place to buy "quality" dog food in your area. I only have 2 stores in my town that sell good dog food. There's a list on the health and diet board with lists of quality food. I wish you all the best with Rico! Be sure to post pictures when he comes home. Tammy, Abby and Daisy
