| Poor Maggie :-\ We picked Maggie up from the vet yesterday at about 930am. She was spayed and had a tooth removed. She doesn't go back until the 30th to get her stitches out! He said no bathing until then, just like people stitches, you can't get them wet... so I was happy that i made the decision to bathe her the night before. HOWEVER, I left my house at about 530pm last night and got back at 930pm and she STUNK soooo bad. The rest of my family was in bed, so I had to wait until the morning to find out what the hell happened. Honestly, I love my maggie soo so much, but she smelled so bad that i made her sleep at the end of my bed and not next to me. I talked to my dad this morning and he told me that he thinks she got sick (not from the front end.. but the back ) and it got stuck to her. He said he had to cut soem of her fur out from her back end and everything, but it still smelled . This morning we had to do sponge bathe her little bottom and the water just woulnd't run clean. She was so upset about the whole matter and i feel awful. Worst part: She still smells a little and i can't bather her for two weeks. I think I'm going to go buy some puppy perfume and spray her a little so i can cuddle her and not feel sick

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I am glad that she is back and home....and doing well!! We were told the same thing but we didn't want to wait that long either so we would just put a bandaid or something over the area and then carefully wash around it...that way they didn't matted hair or stink to badly while they healed!!! Keep us updated on how she is doing!!

| I'm glad she is back home. When you go to the petstore you might want to check into no rinse shampoo. You spray the shampoo on your dog then towel or blow dry them. Here is an example of one by pure paw: http://www.purepaws.net/product.asp?...intCatalogID=1 |

| Well, at least you got the spawing over with. Maybe the smell will wear off a little. We had the same prob with Bo after his neutering. He was kinda oily and yucky. And that stupid e-collar made it worse. We took it off after 3 days.
