Baby girl is breaking my heart I had three pups, a girl and two boys... both boys have gone to new homes last night was the first night the baby girl was "alone" in their area I had for them... she cried so hard, it was awful. Finally my son asked if he could take her and cuddle her to sleep then he put her in her moms kennel when she went to sleep. This girl would go to sleep at 9pm each night, with her brothers... What can I do to make this easier for her? It just broke my heart to hear her cry so hard... she looked all over for her "brothers" last night also. How long does it take for those left behind to adjust? I have the mom yorkie, but she sleeps with us... the baby will be sleeping with my son when she can hold her pee all night... but until then she needs to be in the pen where there is a pee pad... last night she was just in a kennel, I don't know if there were any accidents or not, because when I went downstairs to check my son said "shhh she is finally asleep" Mom has surgery today, the vet feels she has a retained part of a placenta or something, that is why she is still bleeding after 10 weeks... keep her in your thoughts today please. thanks for any advice on how to help this little one... btw, I got the cutest pics last night, I will put them up when I get home, of the little girl and my rotty... she stuck her tongue out at the rotty when the rotty said "that is enough of jumping on my head" haha. Thanks brenda

I have the two pups left and get the same result if I take one puppy and not the other outside. However, I keep doing this hoping to get them used to the day they won't be together anymore. I am going to start seperating them at night (near each other but in seperate crates). You are going through what the new puppy owners go through. I feel it will lessen in a short time being that she still has the other comforts of you, her mom, and her familiar surroundings. I'd put a ticking clock and stuffed animal in there for her to cuddle with. I do pray that her mother has a very safe surgery and they get her all fixed up. I've been talking to a girl who's lab had 13 pups and the mother dog is doing the same thing yours is. I look forward to your post with the results of surgery and the new pictures.

I don't think that this is any sort of trouble, I think that she is just missing her playmates and sleeping partners. Her siblings left last night, and her mom left this am- she is missing them all. We are all just cuddling her, and she is loving every minute. She had no accidents last night, and chances are when my sons room is done she will be camping out with him in his bed at night. Julz, I have not heard from the vet yet... hopefully soon, I will let you know what they find out... Brenda
