| Bangs in eyes :( someone help with hair Of course, Maggie will not keep the clips or rubber bands in... grr. However, we keep her with a medium cut (it's kinda like a puppy cut but a little longer.. i don't know what you would classify that as) and her bangs will not part or anything. They drape directly into her face and it looks like she has a shield over her eyes. I'm at a loss of things to do here. I go with the bow when i'm going somewhere andi know she won't have a chance to yank it out.. but otherwise, i feel like i'm always pushing back her bangs to see her face any suggestions?? pleeease? Thanks

| Hi I am a newbie. I just wanted to say that I have the same exact problem with my guy. I keep him at a medium cut because it is easier to manage and he is very active. I just can't ever seem to be able to see his eyes. I eagerly await replies to your post. (I do love the expressions in their eyes) Brutus' mom |

| I know some people cut the ones directly in front of the eyes but I don't so i really couldn't advise you on what to do. |

I comb is hair in a part, and spray it, and it stays most of the day!!!! I forget the name of itoff hand. Its out in the other room and don't feel like getting up to look!! I am being lazy!!! So maybe give it a try!!!!! Its an aeresol!!!!

| It took Gus a while to get used to having his hair up. I started putting it up as soon as there was enough hair to stay in the plastic band. There is no way he kept a bow on and still don't care of them. I have lots of tiny plastic bands in all different colors that he has gotten used to. He really don't fuss anymore. when I take his hair down he rolls on the floor and rubs his head with his paws. It so cute. It takes time for them to get used to it. But if you keep it up they will. As far as puppy cuts,,, I guess it's a matter of ones taste. I love all yorkies and think they are one of the most beautiful breeds out there with long or short hair. Personally I perfer long hair. It may take a little more time with grooming but it's worth it to me. Good luck to you! Oh and welcome Samiebaby and brutsmom!

| I finally cut the hair just above Maddie's eyes and keep it longer just behind that! I just couldn't stand not being able to see her eyes and I think she looks okay. I think some refer to that as a sun visor look. |

| I've been trying everyone's suggestions. I think i'd like to try some puppy hair products, but we'll see what happens. Here's what she looks like with no clip in her hair :-\ Oh, I also added a pic of her with a clip in her hair, of her when she got out of the bath, and of my big boy.. Wiley (who she tortures non-stop!)

| I keep Sabrina in a short cut too, but her hair over her eyes to the top of her head is long so I can get a barrette in it. I used to do the bangs - but they would grow and get in her eyes anyway. Now I can see her eyes most of the time with the barrette. When it was growing out - I used that "stiff stuff" for people that the teens use for hair spikes to keep it straight up out of her eyes. Just suggestions. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | You could try a little vasaline and a clip or band till it grows in more ? I used to use crab clips with the girls when they were little but they don't work good on thin hair - also - just a little tiny scrunchie might work - That's what I used on Cheri when I could gather enough hair for one. |

| Doggie gel, why didn't I think of that. I have a time with Lacey. She's has a tiny face and very fine hair. I have bought every type of hair clip/band/barrette known without any luck. I too clipped the bangs short because of dealing with it but now that I want the hair to grow out, you have no choice but to go through that in the face stage. I'm kinda sorry I cut it now, but anyway, thanks for the advice. I'll buy some tomorrow. |
