| I feel so bad for hurting her... Okay, Cassi's hair has finally grown out long enough for me to tie her hair up. However, I noticed after one day all the hair around the rubber band becomes all matted. Usually by the 3rd day, it gets really messy and matted that I have to take a scissor to cut off the rubber band and then I have to use a large tooth comb to take out the matted hair. While taking out the matted hair, I notice alot of her hair comes out (they come out as fuzz balls and I feel really bad b/c I'm sure it hurts... I don't know what to else to do b/c if I leave her hair down it covers her entire eye. I'm thinking about just cutting it short but it won't look as nice. Any suggestions.

| Are you using rubber bands or those little hair bands. I buy a pack of 100 at the dollar store and they seem to cut down on problems with her top knot (when she has one) Of course, short hair is cute too!

| Oops, I should clarify...I'm using those little hair bands. I actually bought the hairbands from Ladymom when I purchased some bows from her. I tried putting bow in her hair the first time and she kept taking it off. So I thought I would let Cassi get used to the hair bands first before I start putting the bows in her hair.

| I use infant/child size scrunchies, covered in terry cloth type fabric. It prevents 90% of the tangles. This is all Gracie will tolerate. She hates grooming bands. I find them at Walmart or put out the request at GE time.

| I always put my dogs' hair up in the morning and take it down at night before we go to bed. I only use latex bands and I try to always cut the band so we don't have as much hair breakage. I wouldn't leave the same band in for days at a time

| Yes, I've been leaving them in 3 days at a time b/c initially I was taking them out every day and I was thinking *yikes, so much hair is coming out everytime I take the bands off*, so I figured if I leave them on longer I won't be pulling out as much hair. Not sure if this makes sense.

| I just started to use Petsilk shampoo and conditioner. For the conditioner, I only apply it to her body and not the head b/c after 3-4 days the hair on her head gets oily. I guess for the winter, I should probably apply the conditioner on the head as well. I'm going to try taking the bands out at night as some folks suggested and then put them back on in the morning (before I was replacing the bands immediately after I take it off). I will also try scrunchie thing that some folks mentioned.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I redo Roxie's several times a day and recomb it. For those that leave it out at night, how do they see? Roxie's would be all in her face.

| They are asleep I just take it down right before bed and put it back up in the morning. I feel like their head needs a rest at night

| i sooo want charlie's hair to grow out enough to be groomed right, and maybe have a top knot, or those awesome side ponytails. i'm so glad i found this forum. i'm learning so much. now, i'll better understand how to take care of one. jeffie doesn't want him to look like a girl, but i keep showing him that a yorkie is a yorkie whether it's a girl or not. i don't plan on bows, but i'd love to let his hair grow a little. |

| I usually put a band on in the a.m. then take it out at some point in the evening and rub their heads. I have been cutting the bands off instead of pulling them off. Sometimes with their rough play, it comes out.

| Ok. How do you guys get your babies to stay still when you put the band in or the clip or bow? I got a clip and a bow for Zoe and there is no way in hell she will let me put it on her.. I've even tried having my son give her a treat while I try but no progress.
