| Long/Full Coat Hair that Wears Clothes? Does anyone here have a Long/Full Coat Baby or Babie's that wear Clothes??? How do you handle Static Cling from wearing Sweaters etc.? Do you trim the Hair under their Arms & Stomach to accomodate the Clothing to fit and move better? To keep the Hair from matting and getting tangled up? Just curious I have running into this problem lately since we have had a drastic weather change this past week.

| All of my furbabies are in full coat and I also run into the problem of matting when wearing clothes....Sorry, I don't have an answer for you. I live in S. CA, so we don't need sweathers or coats very often....but I do love to put them in cute tee shirts....maybe someone out there has an answer for us!!! |

| I have a problem with matting when wearing clothes unless I used satin lining. That is what I do when I make them. I line the inside with satin.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I would think any number of methods would take care of static cling. Lightly spritzing with a conditioner/moisturizer, before donning on clothes. Rubbing a fabric softener sheet inside clothes or over coat before dressing would cut down on static cling as well.

| I also have the same problem. I put a sweater on my male once and it was terrible. Never do that again. If I brush the hair down and push it back when I put clothes on it seems to be a little better. If the clothes are also not tight, when I take them off instead of pulling over the head, I take their paws out and pull it off on their back and that really helps.

| Rylie has pretty long hair...we are working on a full coat. He's soft-coated too. I just make sure I get clothes that don't fit too tight and so far so good. I always brush before the clothes go on and after they come off.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Satin or silk linings will help with the matting, but with wearing clothes and long hair there will always be some problem areas. I've been considering cutting down Ruby's saddle area and leaving the leg hair long. That way with clothes on she will still look like she has a full coat, but the matting hair isn't such a problem.

| I make my own patterns, but you can get cute patterns in any fabric store. You can also do a search online for free dog patterns.
