coins in a can I must say that using the coins in a can method of stopping a bad behavior does work. All I have to do any more is pick up the can and he looks, backs up and stops. The down side to using it is that is has scared my poor birds a time or two and right now I have to be very careful using it as I have three baby birds and I don't want to scare the parents to much.

I've been using the Dog Whisperer's SSSHHHHZZZ sound. Your lips start to tingle after awhile though...I should try the can

My cousin who had three Yorkies one time and my mother both told me about using the coins in a can. He really does hate it. I only use it when he won't pay attention to me.

I started with the can, and graduated to the "sh." I was so shocked the first time it worked, but Joey needed much more than a "sh" at first.

Its funny to know how the little things can be effective like that. Jezebel would stop anything she was doing with that sound

| I've also used the can when Scooter races outside and begins to bark at his "sister" Bitsy. It does work as does the sssst sound which I use when Scooter starts for the front door.
